Great rates/fees and honest service
I initially went with a different lender found here on LendingTree, because I thought that the other lender's offer was unbeatable. I actually should have waited another day before agreeing to use the other lender because Dominick and Patrick at Affirm ended up giving me an even better offer. They didn't even know what the other lender had offered me, as far as lender costs and such -- their first offer beat every other lender here. But like I said, I jumped the gun a little too quickly with the other lender. Dominick and Patrick were both really nice and understanding about being turned down, actually -- very different than some of the other lenders I turned down who copped attitudes. There was no hard sell to try to win me back over. Just a 'we understand, let us know if we can be of any help in the future.' This after I’d taken up at least 2 or 3 hours of Dominick’s time on the phone, having him explain the whole lending process to me, the first-time homebuyer. Well, things didn’t end up working out with the other lender. I lost confidence that it was considering my interests over its own. I lost a lot of sleep over the other lender. So I called Dominick back. He was able to give me the deal that he and Patrick had initially offered me. The whole process with them was painless. I closed on time with no hassle. I highly recommend going through Affirm to get your mortgage loan. Sure, there aren’t as many reviews for these guys compared with the other lenders on LendingTree, but they know what they’re doing, and are nice guys to boot.
