My wife and I had an excellent experience in dealing with American Bank, specifically a young man named Jesse Gilles. This gentlemen provided us with all the details regarding our loan application from the start to our closing. In the initial stages of our application I asked to be contacted at 9am., quite frankly it was my litmus test. Sure enough at 8:57 am. Jesse called, I knew from that point forward that this was the individual and institution I wanted to deal with. We were in constant almost daily communication, Jesse even called me on Labor Day. Who does this in this day and age? Jesse did! There was a slight set back that had nothing to do with Jesse. He and I worked to get it resolved through various means. I cannot say enough about Jesse and I would not hesitate to recommend American Bank.

Very disappointing experience. Be sure to check the final closing costs closely. The closing costs stated to me on phone interview were much lower than the closing costs on the final estimates. After I pointed this out to them, they would not return phone calls. Of course, I did not persue the loan with this company. Be careful !!

was 2nd choice for loan. Their best offer was really good, but my choice was better, plus a closing agent came to mt home to close.

Loan person her name kelly was Great Let me say first that i was not able to obtain a loan, not because of there service My company that i work at are cutting hours back. American Bank was will to work with me ,but i am not sure if my job will be stable. But once i am sure everything is good i will be calling them again. thank you

This refinance went as smoothly as possible. The loan officer stayed in contact with me and answered all questions. There were no hidden costs or fees and the rate was excellent. The loan went through in a timely fashion as well. I would recommend American Bank to anyone looking to refinance.

I will be closing on my refinance in a couple days and if there are no hitches in that I can say that I had a very good experience working with American Bank on my refinance. They were very courtious, kept me informed of all aspects of the process, and answered any questions that I had quickly and completely. It was a very pleasant process.

I got a response in no time from this company. I have enjoyed working with the customer service. They have always returned my calls. Even when I could not get them I just left a message and they have gotten back to me. The senior loan officier (Jamie) has been a great help. We just told her what we wanted to do and she took care of the rest. She let us know our rate and our payment and also what our closing costs would be. We are now waiting on the date of our closing. We have had a wonderful experience with this company and would highly recommend this bank. We even have given the name and number of the bank to one of our friends so they may refinance and enjoy working with this bank. Thanks again for everything.

Never got passed an initial conversation because the person I worked with at this company never bothered to 1) email me the information about my loan that we had discussed or 2) call me back when I called to ask a question. Do not use this company. The customer service is absolutely terrible--worse that at the mega-bank that I've had to work with in the past.
