Capfed wanted a $1500 modification fee to refinance my mortgage down to a 15-year 3.625% APR. Instead, I got a 3.519% APR from Community Home Lending with a "lender credit" that exceeded CHL's fees by about $1000. So, instead of paying for a refi, I actually netted about $1000 while at the same time dramatically reducing my interest rate. Ryan West was easy to work with and was generally very responsive to phone calls and e-mails. He worked into the evening so that we could lock the best possible rate before the markets reopened the next morning. Overall, we are very pleased with the transaction. This is the real deal, even it does sound too good to be true.

I have purchased a home through a 203k loan and it has been somewhat difficult. I just closed on a mortgage that was handled by Mark Kuluva. Mark was extremely responsive, knowledegable, and helpful throughout the process. Since I do not live in Overland Park and could not meet with Mark face to face, I was apprehensive about choosing a lender who was not local. However, Mark impressed me with his cordial, informative, and prompt e-mails and phone calls from the very beginning through our closing date (today). Whenever I had questions, Mark took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. On top of that, he had the best mortgage and competitive rates and fees. I highly recommend Mark to anyone shopping for a mortgage. He will take excellent care of you every step of the way!

For the most part Lending Tree was a good experience, I totally enjoyed working with Jeff Robards, he was very patient and understanding and I feel he went out of his way to make us comfortable with the loan and assuring that we understood the terms and conditions. I couldn't justify giving LT an 'Excellent' for the Overall Rating and Fees & Closing Cost due to the fact that there were a couple of signature items that I just didn't agree with and resented the fact that the appraisal and rate lock had to be on a credit card instead of the cash that we had already allocated for such fees.
