General Comments

Mike Krueger managed our loan. He was extremely meticulous and detailed from the very first contact right up until our closing. He was always friendly and professional. The attorney's office also commented on how thorough Mike was in the handling of the paperwork. We were highly satisfied and have already recommended Mike and First Commonwealth to others.

Rude

Good rates, good fees. It looks like in the end they might have been able to get me a better deal than the lender I am going with. At the time I locked, they were edged out by another lender, and I sent a polite email saying I locked with another lender. I have no idea where to start on his response, so I'll just pass it on. "So after all , no phone call, after my two to you yesterday…?? I’ve been doing this 13 yrs brotha, all ya had to say is my realtor steered me away to another bank, or at the very least to just call and ask where the market was at closing…. Locks mean really nothing in this biz, what if my bank ate an 1/8 pt and or all costs..??" I'm glad I decided to go elsewhere.

In the beginning, I was not comfortable with the first broker I dealt with. Then, my application was given to Timithy H. and I am so pleased with the level of service. He answered all of my questions and kept me up-to-date at all times. I am very pleased with my experience with First Commonwealth. Thank you!

Very Patient to work with

Our agent at FCM was very patient with our schedule to help us get our loan closed. We were able to save alot of money each month with our new loan on our house. It was very easy to do with all of the paper work it takes now of days.

Greg Lapp and 1st Commonwealth a Great Experience

I was feeling stressed because everywhere I turn am hearing that interest rates are the best ever, etc. so knew I was missing out on saving lots of money. But didn't know where to begin. Got paired up with a fantastic re-finance guy, Greg Lapp, at First Commonwealth. While based in Kentucky, he has been specializing in this area and gets incredibly competitive rates. I got an incredible interest rate and it couldn't have been easier. We did everything over the phone and brought it to close in about 3 weeks. Greg understood what we wanted, held out for the best possible rates to lock us in at and then proactively came back with a recommendation that saved us another couple hundred dollars a month on top of everything else. Shaved off a bit more at closing as well. To top it off, the closing company came to our house and we signed all the documents at our own dining room table. Typically, I am a critical customer - especially in the world of financial services. But, in this case it was incredibly easy. With so many creeps out there in this industry, wanted to pass his name and info along in case anyone has been wanted to refinance but just putting it off because they didn't know where to start. We've created a significant amount of value for our family year on year - if you're on the fence, encourage you to go for it. We're really glad we did. Good luck!

Would recommend

The closing process through First Commonwealth was as expected. Dave was great to work with. He kept us in the loop as things progressed. A little confusion caused by getting two sets of forms - one from them and one from the funder - and not knowing where to send them. Would definitely recommend.
