Great Western Re-Fi w/ Shane Dishman

As soon as I signed off Lending Tree after making my initial inquiry, Shane Dishman of Great Weastern had sent me an email introducing his company and him-self. Very prompt and very professional. Soon after that (same afternoon) Shane called and we discussed preliminaries. During the rest of the day and the next day 4 other Lending Tree recommended companies and agents made contact. After reviewing all preliminiary offers I choose Shane since he was the most professional and prompt agent to respond to my requests. Shane made me feel very comfortable while discussing my personnal financial data and needs. He guided me on how to transfer info between us by email since my Fax was down. Everything progressed very smoothly from day one and I always felt comfortable with Shane Dishman of GW. As of today 7/7/2010 everything is closed out on my old loans and I can go forward with a much better rate . The other people who choose Shane to work with should have as good of an experience as I had. Thanks Shane for all you helped me with. I feel like I have a new friend in you.

Received an email from Jeff Reinoehl, stating "I rarely get beat!" and "I can have it out about a half hour after I receive your full information". I responded with the information he requested, on Sunday at 4:10pm. As of Wednesday, 9pm, I have yet to hear back. I will move on the one of the other lenders provided by Lending Tree.

Couldn't have gone better

From the start, I was extremely impressed with John Phan. He was very much on top of things, helped me through the process and got us the best rate possible. This company beat everybody else we looked at on rates, costs and made the process very smooth. Our refinancing could not have gone better. Re-finance Review

My husband and I decided to refinance our home and have a debt consolidation. Ryan Cline called me the day after I requested a quote. Great Western beat all the competitors, and their customer service and satisfaction was fantastic. Ryan Cline walked me through the whole process, and stayed in almost daily contact till the end. When any problem arose, all I had to do was call Ryan, and he took care of any problem, always to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend Great Western, but especially Ryan Cine for any refinancing or debt consolidation!! Ryan called several times after we completed our process to make sure that we were satisfied, and we are!!

Excellent experience

Good rate, that's it...

The loan oficer did not communicate much with me, I felt like I had to ask for every single detail, he seldom call me, instead he send e-mail asking me to call him (whos' the client?)... the day of closing almos all the documents had my wife's name mispelled and few had my name and our address mispelled! they said thay can do nothing about it... we have to scratch every single name, rewrite and initial.. closing took 2 hours!

GWF was great to work with for my home refinance. Doug Bloomer did an exceptional job in making the process smooth, fast, accurate and pleasant. I had tried to refinance a year earlier and the mortgage broker took up to 5 months to get a deal close to closing and then the whole thing fell through. NOT with GWF, they made it happen. Excellent Experience

I have used Lending Tree twice in the last 18 months, once to purchase a house and once to refinance. In both cases I have been happy with the service and the various lenders I spoke with. The last time I talked with John Phan at Great Western and was very impressed. It is rare to find someone who does everything well. The rate was the lowest of anyone and the fees were also the lowest! I was afraid there would be hidden costs but the actual closing came out to within about $80 of the quote. And John did everything he said he would and did it quickly. Could it be I just got lucky?

Very Happy With This Loan Experience

After receiving several offers via Lending Tree and elsewhere, I contacted the lenders in a group message to negotiate the best rate. Putting the cards on the table turned out to be a good move because I did get some better deals, even from the companies that were already more competitive. Shane Dishman at Great Western initially contacted me with an offer that was already better than shown on Lending Tree, plus he beat his own offer once I started negotiating even though he was already a top contender for my business. He was happy to answer any questions I had, friendly and expedient in his responses to my messages, and so easy to work with through e-mail and over the phone. His patience and sense of humor made the whole process enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shane to anyone looking for a loan. I was in the market for a 15-year fixed rate refinance loan but I'm sure he has plenty of products to offer and I know he has excellent customer service.

I worked with John Phan and it was THE most painless/pleasant refinancing mortgage experience I have ever had. Refinancing With Ease

I applied with Lending Tree to obtain a refinance loan. Although several mortgage companies vied for my loan Great Western exceeded my expectations in service, timeliness, responsiveness and turnaround time. I was quite busy when I initially applied for the loan and thus could not respond to information requests as promptly as I wanted to, but still wanted to close quickly with the rate, terms and closing costs I desired. The GW rep, Chris Spicer, was patient and persistent but not pushy. Realizing how busy I was, he initiated alot of the processing activity that I needed to complete to kept my loan moving along quickly. He understood the terms I wanted and worked hard to get them. I have never had the type of hands on service with a mortgage broker or lender that Chris provided. He certainly knew his business and knocked down any obstacles that would have prevented the quick close I wanted. When I finally slowed down enough to work the loan, the total process took 2 weeks, application to closing. A seamless refinancing experience. Thanks Chris.

Great Western Financial

While all of the lenders provided by Lending Tree responded quickly to my inquiry, after reviewing the costs involved, Great Western Financial had the lowest overall closing costs and best rate. The mortgage agent I worked with, Gary Stedman, was always responsive and timely with follow up questions I had and was patient with my concerns regarding the refinancing process. Gary was available for any additional questions that either myself or my wife came up with. To state it simply, he made it stress free. I would definitely recommend Great Western Financial and Gary to anyone refinancing or seeking a first mortgage.

The services provided by Chris Spicer was excellent. The closing was very smooth and efficient. The first response from Mr. Spicer included all of the documents for the application. That is the main reason we went with Great Western. The rate was competitive even though we did receive offers of a lower rate. Great All-around Lender

Great Western made my re-financing easy and painless. They had the lowest closing costs (no origination fee) and when interest rates started to drop, I was promptly alerted. Scott F. was extremely responsive, and would usually answer my email questions in a matter of minutes. At closing there were no surprises and the loan funded just as expected. I really can't think of a single negative thing to say. I wish the closing costs were lower but hey, they gotta make a living somehow.

Great Service

Kevin Sproul, our loan officer was FANTASTIC. He did everything he could to make is a pleasant and easy experience for us. The underwriter was also great. We had a problem with the appraiser getting the informtion to Great Western in a timely manner, but other than that, everything went extremely smooth. If I had a question or was just anxious, all I had to do was call Kevin and he had all the answers.

Great Western did a good job following up our request from Lending Tree. They continued to email and call and follow up. The person that we dealt with was available when we called. The only concern we had was that when we faxed all our information, the information was lost and we had to refax again. We were concern about our information being out there.

Mortgage loan

The loan took much longer than expected, but I believe it is just a sign of the times. Jeremy Rehwald was excellent and worked very hard to get the loan processed as quickly as possible. Interest rates were very good. I would recommed Jeremy and Great Western to anyone who is looking for a loan.

unauthorized credit access

I cannot recommend this lender. While their interest rate and closing costs were higher than most, the principle reason why I do not recommend them is they pulled my credit report without my authorization. In fact, in my initial request I had clearly stated that I did not want my credit pulled yet so that I could shop around. Now I need to send individual letters to any lender with whom I do refinance explaining why there was an extra credit check done on me. This lender made a long and difficult process longer and more difficult.

They handled the loan process well and I think I got as good a deal as I could have found anywhere at the time. I was out of town for 6 weeks during the process and they worked through that fine though they would not close out of state which I did not understand since I've done it before. Solid Lender

We recently decided to refinance our mortgage to a lower rate. We talked with several lenders referred to us by friends as well as seeking them on sites like Lending Tree. We ended up going with Great Western after talking extensively with four different lenders. We appreciated Great Western's competitive rate and straight-forward honest approach, and we didn't feel like we were talking to a "car salesman" type as with many of the other lenders. No additional and/or unexpected fees cropped up as we moved to closing and it was overall a quality experience.
