LSI is a very good option.
I cannot speak for all agents of LSI, but the agent that was assigned to my loan, Chris George, was a very knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive individual. Several of the things I was looking for in a lender were: Rate, Fees, Time to Close, honesty, patience, and flexibility. I am a very cautious spender and especially with a 30 year commitment and the biggest purchase a person can make, this was going to take time and a lot of explanation. I know that many of the questions I had may have been standard and tedious, but the agent was very polite and understanding, no matter what the question or how many times it was asked. There were discrepancies in early documentation that had me shaken and wary, but I found this with most of the lenders that I was reviewing at the time. My suggestion to anyone is that you be aware of your agreements, expectations, where these figures should show up and what the bottom line document and figures are that must be correct and supercede all. This company was careful, persistent for the business, but not bothersome or annoying. Several of the lenders I was reviewing had attitudes as if to suggest that if you weren't in the business, you wouldn't understand the numbers and you should just trust them. LSI did not take that route and were rewarded for it with our business. There are a loan brokerage firm, so more than likely your loan will be sold to a bank and you should read your closing documents carefully. This can be said with all contract though. The relationship with LSI was a pleasant experience and I will definitely look to them again if I ever decide to submit another refinance OR for a new home purchase. My next journey is to see if the bank that purchased my loan, Flagstar Mortgage, is as reputable and customer service oriented as the broker.
