Fast and easy

I had nothing but a great experience with Quicken Loans. I couldn't believe how easy the whole process was.I made my refinance request on Dec. 26 and closed on Jan.19 . Thats fast.

best rate and service

Very reasonable fees, best rate available and excellent customer service. Overall excellent experience. Discounted points when rates changed just before signing loan lock. Highly recommended.

Experience with Quicken

My husband and I are very pleased with our experience dealing with Quicken Home Loans. Everything was communicated often. There were no surprises or hidden fees and all costs were upfront. Our mortgage broker and his assistants were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend them and would consider using them again in the futre.

Things went pretty smooth. The appraiser needed some work done on the house that u wasn't expecting but the quicken reps were good about letting me know what needed to be done. (A couple rooms were being remodeled, they are finished enough to pass). Not much else to say, the reps were very good about replying and keeping me updated. The Quicken site is informative and easy to use.

a great sales experience

Bryan at Quicken Loans was friendly, helpful, thorough, and quick to respond. He suggested some options I hadn't considered that worked to my benefit, and worked with my situation despite some unusual aspects. He worked hard to get me the best possible deal, and took the time to make sure I understood everything and answer any questions I had. Recommended.

No GFE

Agent called at 9pm with offer, rate was good as were closing costs however would not provide a Good faith estimate and when emailed offer, if we wanted to go ahead (which we needed to do before 10pm) $400 was required up front. Read a lot of information which said always get a GFE and never pay up front.

It sounds like you received an email containing your rate and costs which you seem satisfied with. The $400 is a deposit which is a commitment to do business and begins to cover the costs we pay to process your loan like your appraisal, credit report, etc. The deposit is credited back to you when you close your loan. Our deposit is clearly explained on all applications and on our website: https://www.quickenloans.com/about/quicken-loans-deposit If your banker said anything about needing to complete the application that evening, I am sure it was to secure your interest rate. To do that, we would need your deposit and application signed. Rates change every day and we simply will not make promises we can’t keep. I’m glad you feel the rate we offered was competitive. Quicken Loans very nice to deal with

Our loan closed with Quicken loans in about 20 days. We particularly liked how we were able to track the progress through the internet, step by step. In addition, our loan officer Ryan Shaw, did everything he could to keep the process on track. We are very happy with how everything went and the end result is that we closed our loan on time and at the rate we wanted.

Communications

Lack of communication caused the cost of closing to increase and a delay in reciept of a loan document caused the cost of the lock to increase. Poor communication caused of these delays and the banker was not all that willing to negotiate lowing the closing costs, although they did come down a bit it was disportionate to what I had to end up paying.

Hi and thanks for reviewing! I’m Kelly from Quicken Loans. I’m sorry your experience with us was less than stellar. We looked into this loan and would like to clarify some of the points. The extra cost was due to extending a rate lock. The extension was needed because we were waiting on the payoff from the previous lender. While we’d love to be able to cover the costs of extending a rate lock for all our clients, we close around 10,000 loans a month and it is impossible to cover those costs every time we have to wait on another lender. “Poor communication” is highly uncommon here - we work hard to make sure every client understands every aspect of their loan and our process. Extremely satisfied

We were VERY happy with the experience we had with Quicken Loans. Everyone that we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. They returned phone calls promptly and explained everything to where you understood. We had tried to refinance our home with a different company that after four months told us they could not complete the loan. We weren't sure if anyone could help us but Quicken got our loan done from start to finish in three weeks. We would highly recommend them!
