Our Commitment to Borrower Education
As part of our ongoing mission to empower borrowers, LendingTree has launched a multi-year education and advocacy program with the goal of inspiring consumers to make smarter borrowing decisions.
The hallmark of our efforts in 2005 is the Living with Debt report, which we hope will contribute to the national dialogue about the realities of debt in Americans' lives, and mobilize consumers to arm themselves with the knowledge and skills they need to make prudent choices.
Through our Smart Borrower education initiative, LendingTree has developed several tools to help consumers make wise financial decisions:
- The LendingTree Knowledge Center: Our library of articles, calculators and checklists is updated monthly. Topics cover the home-buying and selling process, choosing a mortgage, buying and financing a car, as well as managing money and credit
- Ask an Expert: LendingTree product experts answer real consumer questions on topics such as refinancing, buying a home and getting out of debt
- The LendingTree Guide to Smart Borrowing, offered free on LendingTree.com, is a booklet about managing credit wisely throughout life
- Newsletters: Our free, monthly eNewsletters focus on the home-buying process, home and auto financing, and credit management
- Loan Product Guides: Every borrower who completes a home loan request through LendingTree can download a free, comprehensive loan guide to help them compare loan options and know what questions to ask lenders.
