The Gold Leaf Seal is the cornerstone of a loan officer certification program designed to recognize outstanding loan officers. The award is presented to an elite group of loan officers who have provided exemplary service to LendingTree consumers.

Become A Certified Loan Officer

The LendingTree Gold Leaf Award is presented to an elite group of loan officers who have provided exemplary service to LendingTree customers. Loan officers have been certified since September 2002. Effective January 2005, certification will be awarded on a quarterly basis.  Certification will continue to be valid for a one-year time period.

How Are Loan Officers Chosen to Receive the Award?

The Gold Leaf Seal will be presented to loan officers based on success levels in several areas including, customer service, adherence to LendingTree best practices, training participation and above average performance levels. Specifically, loan officers and lenders must meet the following criteria:

• The lender must report closings by loan officer to LendingTree via automated assign, manual funding, or the automated funding spreadsheet. If lenders do not use any of these tools, they may still participate if they provide LendingTree with the quantitative data necessary for the analysis.
  
  
• The loan officer must be dedicated to the LendingTree channel.
  
  
• The loan officer must have attended a LendingTree training program. Please note that in order to obtain certification or re-certification in 2005, a loan officer must have attended in 2004 or 2005 one of the following: Sales Excellence Training, Regional Training, Certified Loan Officer Summit, Loan Officer Sales Rally, or other LendingTree sanctioned training.
  
  
• The loan officer must have been active on the Network (taking leads) for six of the seven months during the period which they are qualifying for.
  
  
• The loan officer must have an average conversion rate for the measurement period that is higher than the Network average of the analysis time period. Closing data is measured based on static pools (i.e. the month the QF was received). View the criteria used to determine certification for the January 2005 round. Please note that since the inception of this program, the certification criteria has trended consistently. Therefore, this data is a good guide to use when self-evaluating performance.
  
  
• Customer service guidelines will be in place as part of the qualifying process. The new guidelines are as follows:

Customer feedback on loan officer performance is collected in closer and non-closer surveys. A loan officer must have an average customer service score of 3.0 during the qualifying period in order to be certified.

In addition, a loan officer must have less than three (3) escalated consumer issues that can be directly related to the loan officer.

Certification status is reviewed on an annual basis (based on the date of certification). However, if a loan officer has more than three (3) escalated consumer issues that can be directly related to the loan officer within the qualifying period, the certification status will be revoked.

Benefits of Certified Loan Officers?

• Certified Loan Officers will be able to show their designation to consumers via usage of the Gold Leaf Officer Seal. The seal will appear in the signature of certified loan officers' emails generated via automated email. For more information about this option contact loprograms@lendingtree.com. Certified Loan Officers can also add the seal to their custom email messages.
  
• The names of certified loan officers will be displayed in the lender scorecard on the LendingTree web site.

Use of the Gold Leaf Seal

LendingTree grants Certified Loan Officers permission to use the Gold Leaf Seal in their emails to LendingTree consumers. Displaying this Seal will show consumers that you belong to an elite class of loan officers who have provided superior service to LendingTree customers.

Two Ways to Utilize the Seal

• If you utilize automated email, the seal will automatically be attached in the signature line of your emails generated through LendingTree. If you would like to opt out of having the seal shown in your emails, please send a request to loprograms@lendingtree.com.
  
  
• If you do not utilize automated email, you can still use the Seal image. Just sign the attached agreement and fax the form to 704-541-1821 Attn: Theresa Bennett. Once we receive your signed agreement, we will email you the image. 

How Can I Use the Seal in my Custom Emails?

• We recommend that you add the seal in the signature line of your emails. We have also developed a tag line that can be placed underneath the image to describe the Gold Leaf Award and the LendingTree Loan Officer Certification program.
  
  
• The seal is for use in your email communications with LendingTree customers. The seal may NOT be used in printed materials and may NOT be used with customers from other lead sources.
