Streaming music, movies and TV shows has become increasingly popular in recent years. In fact, according to a 2019 study by LendingTree, three out of four Americans currently have at least one online subscription, and those with online subscriptions spend an average of $38 per month.

More likely than not, streaming services only make up a small portion of your monthly budget — especially when compared to more essential expenses, like food or gas. For those reasons alone, you’d be better off choosing a card that rewards you for spending in those high-budget categories.
Still, the ability to earn bonus points and cash back on the purchases you already make, like music and video streaming, is a great added bonus to any credit card.
