With the right rewards credit card, your budget can stretch a little further. Cashback rewards often can be applied as statement credits, thus reducing the amount of your purchases.

The coronavirus pandemic caused many Americans to stay at home as much as possible during 2020 and 2021. This means shopping online, streaming services, and ordering food delivery all became bigger parts of consumers’ regular routines than before. In fact, according to a recent LendingTree study, 1 in 3 consumers purchased a new online subscription service during the pandemic.

Through a review of cards available on LendingTree, as well as from top issuers, we selected the best cards to reward you for spending in these categories.

Picking the best credit card for you

When deciding whether to apply for any of the above cards, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What rewards category matters most to me?
  • How do I want to be able to redeem my rewards?
  • Do I spend enough to recoup an annual fee?

The answers will help you identify which credit card is the best fit for your spending habits. In addition, consider whether any of the issuers have restrictions that could impact your ability to be approved. For example, the unwritten Chase 5/24 rule means that if you’ve been approved for five or more cards from any issuer within the past 24 months, you’ll be denied for a Chase card.
