Picking the best credit card for you
When deciding whether to apply for any of the above cards, ask yourself the following questions:
- What rewards category matters most to me?
- How do I want to be able to redeem my rewards?
- Do I spend enough to recoup an annual fee?
The answers will help you identify which credit card is the best fit for your spending habits. In addition, consider whether any of the issuers have restrictions that could impact your ability to be approved. For example, the unwritten Chase 5/24 rule means that if you’ve been approved for five or more cards from any issuer within the past 24 months, you’ll be denied for a Chase card.
