The top credit cards offered will feature the most competitive interest rates, the lowest fees, and the rewards. So here are the top five credit cards offered by LendingTree:

1. Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

It used to be that in order to earn airline miles from a credit card, it had to be co-branded with an airline. Then, the miles you earned could only be used on that airline and its partners. But today, the best way to earn award travel is with a credit card that earns reward points that can be transferred to multiple different airline programs. Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders earn Ultimate Rewards points which can be transferred to miles with six different airline programs, plus hotels and even Amtrak Guest Rewards. Double points are earned from spending on travel and dining, and one point per dollar is earned from all other purchases. New cardholders earn 50,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 within three months of account opening. There is a $95 annual fee for this card that is waived the first year, and no foreign transaction fees.

2. Chase Slate®

About 50 percent of Americans carry a balance on their credit cards, and the top credit card for them will be the one that allows them to pay off their debt quickly. Many of the top credit cards offer zero percent APR promotional financing on balance transfers, in order to allow cardholders to avoid interest charges why they pay down their debt. Capital One® also has a long standing policy of having no foreign transaction fees, whereas most card issuers charge three percent of the purchase price. Furthermore, this card offers new applicants 20,000 bonus miles, worth $200, after using their card to spend $1,000 within three months of account opening. Finally, Capital One® offers cardholders their Credit Tracker app that shows customers their current score and how it will change under various scenarios. There is no annual fee for this card.

4. Discover it® chrome

This version of the Discover it® chrome card offers 12 months of interest free financing on both new purchases and balance transfers. Additionally, this is also a rewards card that offers one percent cash back on all purchases. The Discover it® chrome card also offers a waiver on customers' first late payment, a free FICO score, and customer service staffed by 100 percent US based representatives. There is no annual fee for this card.

5. Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card

The Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card offers 1.5 percent cash back on all purchases with no limits. Applicants with good credit can qualify for the version of this card with no annual fee, while even those with fair credit can still be approved for a version with a $39 annual fee. Finally, Capital One offers customers a free credit score using their Credit Tracker app and web site.
