visa infinite benefits

If you are using a credit card that doesn’t come with some sort of benefits, you’re missing out on a lot of added perks. With so many cards vying for your business, credit card issuers keep upping the stakes and offering more and more benefits; at least to qualified consumers.

The Visa Infinite cards have been available in other countries for quite a while now. But recently they have found their way into the U.S. markets. Interested in one of these top of the line cards? Here are some Visa Infinite benefits you can take advantage of.

Airfare Discounts

If you travel, then you’ll love this perk. For every itinerary that you book (for two to five people), you get $100 off the purchase price. For those who fly often, this benefit can add up pretty quickly.

Car Rental Discounts

Of course when you get to your destination, you will need a way to get around. With a Visa Infinite benefits card, you get discounts through companies like Avis, National, or Silvercar. You can get quite a few free upgrades as well.

Visa Infinite Luxury and Preferred Hotel Benefits

Naturally, you will need somewhere to stay. When you book with your Infinite card, you have access to automatic room upgrades (if there’s an upgrade available) and free breakfast. But that’s not all. Choose one of the 120 hotels on the Visa list, and you get a complimentary VIP welcome. This doesn’t come automatically though; you have to use the Infinite Concierge.

Visa Infinite Concierge

Many cards have a concierge program. Some, like the Visa infinite service, are better than others. Whether you just need someone to call and make reservations for you or you need an entire trip planned out, you can call up the concierge program and they will do the leg work for you.

Rental Car Insurance

Did you know that most credit cards offer car rental insurance? What most people don’t realize is that often this coverage is secondary coverage. That means that your insurance pays out first, and then the card insurance pays anything not covered. The Visa Infinite card has primary coverage; no need to even file a claim with your own insurance company.

Accident and Trip Insurance

If you book your trip with your Visa Infinite card, you get some extra perks that you usually have to pay extra for. For instance, this card offers accidental death and dismemberment coverage. On top of that, you can be reimbursed for any travel expenses you had to pay for upfront if your trip was interrupted or canceled. You can also be reimbursed for lost baggage.

Extended Warranties and Purchase Protection

All of your big purchases should be made with a credit card. Most cards offer some perks that many people don’t know about. The Visa Infinite card offers an additional year of warranty (if the manufacturer’s warranty is three years or fewer). But more importantly, if your item is lost, stolen, or damaged in the first 90 days, you can file a claim and get a replacement.

Who Is Offering a Visa Infinite Card?

These cards offer some great perks and advantages. And if you travel more than a couple times each year, you will more than recoup the $400+ annual fee (it’s waived for your first year). Here are the three companies that are offering Visa Infinite cards (please note that some benefits vary depending on the issuer):

  • City National Bank
  • Ritz-Carlton Rewards
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve

Visa Infinite cards are new to the U.S. market, so give it some time and more companies should come on board. With the generous benefits being offered, it is well worth having one if you can use it enough to cover the hefty annual fee.
