This is my second mortgage with Kimberly and Northpointe Bank, and once again they had better prices than anyone locally and many other online sources. They are clear about all fees upfront, and both loans closed at what they told me (or lower in this 2nd round.) If it had not been a great experience the first time, I certainly would not have come back. My first mortgage was complicated by several unexpected paperwork and legal hassles. Kimberly worked hard to make sure everything went through as quickly as possible to avoid the increasing mortgage rates that occur when you do not close within the standard underwriting period. We made it, and I got an excellent rate for a 30-year loan. One of my concerns was that I didn't want to go with a lender that would transfer the mortgage to someone else. I'd had the nightmare mortgage company, and I did not want to go back. Kimberly was honest about that informing me that there were no guarantees, but it was not the bank's policy to write and resale. I checked with a few other trusted sources, and no bank can honestly give you an iron-clad guarantee. As an institution, Northpointe's transfer rate was on the low end. Kimberly gave me several rate options, was willing to explain them all thoroughly but did not make the slimy high-pressure sale. When better rates became available, she even emailed me to alert me to this new round of historic low rates. That has NEVER happened to me with six previous mortgages. I did check to make sure no one reputable would beat that rate. I knew I'd be in good hands otherwise, and I was. I'm still with the same mortgage lender but with a lower rate. Sweet!
I financed with NP and Kim in May of 2019 and then refinanced in May of 2020 after interest rates dropped. Northepointe always seems to have very competitive rates and Kim makes the whole process very easy. I will continue to recommend her to my friends and family.

How to apply: Buyers can get pre-qualified via an online form, over the phone or in person. Upon pre-qualification, a Northpointe representative will establish contact through phone, text message or email message.
Disclosure process: There is a digital dashboard through which borrowers and the lender can communicate and exchange documentation. Borrowers receive regular updates and can digitally sign documents, but they also have the option of traditional paper documentation.
