May Roundup - 5 Insane Cards Credit Cards Offers

Incredible Promotion #1:

The High-Paying Cash Back Card: 6% on groceries, 3% on gas, $150 additional cash bonus.

The Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express (a LendingTree advertiser) has to be on any list of amazing credit card deals. Its rewards are so rich that I personally gotone after I reviewed it, and here's why: I get a jaw-dropping 6% cash back on the first $6k I spend in grocery stores. I also get3% cash back on gas and I get 10% cash back on what I spend on my mobile phone service (editor's note: you must apply by June 15th, 2016 in order to get this benefit). To put the size of the cash rewards in perspective, the grocery feature alone is worth about $360 in cash bonuses for me every year. One thing to consider is that the card does charge a $95 annual fee ($75 if your application is received by 8/3/16), so make sure you'll use it enough to make that back (as a reference point, you'll earn about $150 in cash back per year if you use it to buy $200 in groceries each month). In our cash back card comparison we calculated that the average user will earn more than $600 in cash back during the first year using the card, even after paying the fee. There are some benefits beyond the high cash back rates: the card offers new members a 12 month interest-free term on both purchases and balance transfers. All told, it's an impressive bundle of rewards features, and is the rewards card I recommend to all those who ask me for advice when they find out what I do for a living.Note: until June 15th, the Blue Cash Preferred pays new card members a $150 cash intro bonus.

Incredible Promotion #2:

No balance transfer fee. 15 Months of 0% Intro APR. No annual fee.

Chase Slate Card is our editor's choice balance transfer card, and is far and away the most popular card we've reviewed. It offers a long 15 month interest-free period on balance transfers, but more importantly, it was the only card I found which charges no transfer fee. If you're currently carrying a balance on another card, and paying interest, I strongly recommend you consider transfering that balance to the Slate. I'll use a simple example: if you have a $5,000 balance at an 18% APR, you're paying about $1,000 per year in interest. Moving that same balance to the Slate would mean you'll pay $0 in interest. Since there's no fee for making the transfer, and no annual fee for having the card, I really wonder why anyone would keep paying interest once they know about the Chase Slate. Just note that in order to get the $0 transfer, you have to make your transfer in the first 60 days after you get the card. More Details >

Incredible Promotion #3:

The High-Paying Cash Back Card With No Fees. Up to 10% Cash Back.

The Discover it® Cashback MatchTM is a great cash back card with no annual fee. It features a lucrative cash welcome bonus; the card will make a dollar for dollar match of all the cash back you earn in your first year. That means that when you count the bonus, during the first year you have the card, you'll be earning 10% cash back on rotating categories (like gas stations, restaurants, major department stores, large online retailers etc) and 2% cash back on all other spend. Its definitely a useful card to have in your wallet when you know which categories you can get 10% back in. Aside from the cash rewards and the cash bonus, the card also has some interesting features: your cash back never expires, unlike many other cash cards, there is no annual fee, and you can redeem your cash back in any amount, instantly at the Amazon check-out. I particularly like this last feature since I do a lot of shopping at Amazon, and lately many things I buy are just free because my Discover it rewards are right there at check-out. It converts the rewards into a very real benefit that I use regularly. More Details >

Incredible Promotion #4:

The Massive Intro Bonus Card: 55,000 Miles worth $687

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card just hit the market with a revamped intro offer, worth up to an eye-popping $687.50 bonus. Here's how it works. If you get the card, and use it to make $4,000 in purchases during the first 3 months you have it (so $1,300 average per month) you'll get 50,000 bonus points. If you add a second user to the card, for example your spouse or child, you'll get an additional 5,000 points. Finally, when you redeem those points at the Chase Ultimate Rewards shopping portal, you'll get a 20% discount on that purchase. So if you find a flight or hotel which costs $687.50, you'll get the 20% discount, making it cost only $550, which is equal to your 55,000 in total welcome points. So basically you can get $687.50 in free travel just for trying the card out for 3 months. I wanted to see if hotels and flights cost the same on the Chase portal as they do on the most competitive travel sites, so I compared 5 different flights and 4 different hotel bookings, and found that Chase was identical to Priceline and Kayak on all of them. That means the discount truly is a discount, and the Chase Sapphire welcome bonus really is worth that $687.50 in value, making it by far the largest welcome bonus I've reviewed. Something to note, the Sapphire does not carry a fee during the first year, but if you decide to keep it past the first year, there will be a $95 annual fee. Beyond the massive intro bonus, the card does pay a 2% rewards rate on all travel spending (flights, hotels, taxis etc) and on everything you spend in restaurants. You also get 1% back on all other spend, and the points can be redeemed at any time with no travel blackout dates. Heavy travelers will also like the fact that there are no foreign transaction fees. More Details >

Incredible Promotion #5:

The High-Paying Miles Rewards Card With No Fee: 3 Miles Per Dollar Reward Rate.

The Discover it® Miles with no Annual Fee is a fantastic travel rewards card which charges no annual fee, yet still pays big-boy rewards and incentives. You get an unlimited 1.5 miles on every purchase you make, with no restrictions or categories to keep track of. Discover will add up all the miles you earn during your first year using the card, then double them mile for mile as a welcome bonus. So if you've earned 25,000 miles over the course of the first year, you'll end the year with 50,000. The Discover it Miles also gives a $30 cash back credit for in-flight wifi purchases, charges no foreign transaction fees, no annual fee, and has no blackout dates on travel. You'd be very hard pressed to find a more lucrative miles reward card without being willing to pay an annual fee. More Details >
