Allegiance Credit union, formerly Federal Employees Credit Union (FECU) was chartered inFebruary 1963 under the Oklahoma State Banking Laws.. At the end 0[1963, FECU had 266members and $95,408 in assets. The credit union grew steadily, and in 1977 it moved into thenewly completed Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The credit union continued its growth andexpansion, and soon took up 6,000 square feet with 33 employees and assets of $76 million byApril 1995.

The morning of April 19, 1995 brought sudden tragedy as the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Buildingwas bombed, and 18 FECU employees were lost.

1995 was a year that will go down in history and never be forgotten.

In February 2002, the credit union converted to a community charter. This new charter gives usthe advantage of not only serving our current members as we have always done, but now we canserve anyone in the local community. This charger change has been an opportunity to grow inthe community and enable us to open our 4 branches throughout the metro.

Today, Allegiance Credit Union continues to grow with over 28,000 members and 260 Million inassets. We feel the legacy of FECU, the restoration, and our continued growth as AllegianceCredit Union will bring great pride to those we lost who served so self1essly to meet the needs ofour members. We look to the future with great anticipation.
