    Knowledgeable courteous staff eases stress

When you are neck deep in credit card debt and nowhere to turn, debt relief companies are really the better option to turn to. And of all the DR companies out there, FDR seems to be one of the better ones. My experience with FDR has been a good one overall. The representatives that I have talked with have all been professional, courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer to a question, they have been quick to find the answer and supply the reasonings or logic behind the answer as well. I feel like these representatives have heard all kinds of questions before and some of them are in the program also, so they can provide useful insights that have put my mind more at ease. I would advise to any new people looking to join the program as well as ones already in the program: Do not be afraid to ask questions! No matter how silly or embarrassing it may seem, ask anyway. If you don't ask, you will stress out about the assumed or worse case scenarios that your mind will come up with. Ask your questions and follow up with more questions until you understand fully. Do not be afraid to call multiple times. In the beginning I must have called them at least 5-10 times a week, sometimes with the same question until I understood the situation and knew where the path was going. They give you an option to sign up for attorney litigators. While this is not required I highly recommend it unless you like dealing with suit-happy lawyers. It is an extra small fee but well worth it. Do not fret too much about your credit score. Yes it will go down. Not as low as a bankruptcy or credit counselling will take it, but mine seemed to bounce back up fairly quickly (still not good, but I've got a couple years in this program yet). It may seem to take a "long" time to get the settlements rolling - have patience. It will happen and with me, it seemed like I suddenly got a rash of structured payments so that became a big relief. Again if you feel stressed or wondering why things are moving "slow", ask for explanations, they will give them. One thing that I did not like, is that in the beginning, FDR came up with an enrolled balance, settlement fees and a monthly payment which I agreed to. They said that if I kept up the payments, then the debt program would be complete by a certain date. I have kept up my payments, but the "completion date" has now moved up more than a year now. I asked why and got a reasonable answer, but I feel that should have been explained in the beginning when the expectation conversations were occurring. These guys do all the footwork to helping you out with your over the head debt. They have the negotiation, predictive analysis, and planning skill-sets to work out the best possible debt relief scenario for your specific situation. I highly recommend them with the added advice of always ask your questions. Believe me, my stress levels are much lower by keeping in frequent communication with them. ... Read More

    Freedom Debt Relief

I had $45,000 in credit card deb due to an injury that prevented me from working for months. I would make my payment to the credit cards and become so short of money that I would have to use the credit cards again. I was going deeper and deeper in debt.I tried to consolidate my bills but I was unable to obtain a loan. I called FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF and was amazed by the kindness and understanding of the representative I spoke to. After enrolling in the program I felt a giant weight being lifted from me. Each month I make a payment to FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF and they negotiate reduced amount of money that pays off my balance on my credit cards. I don't even think of the cards or the debt anymore because I know FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF is taking care of it. Two years I have been in the program and three debts are completely resolved. Four more debts are in the process of being resolved with payments and will be completely resolved by July. I still have five more debts that FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF will negotiate to be resolved when more funds from my monthly payments are available, When I first enrolled in the program my credit rating went down drastically but now two years later it is almost as high as before. One creditor filed a lawsuit against me but did not follow through it was dismissed. I have saved a tremendous amount of money through settlements that FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF negotiated. More important to me is the absolute peace I feel once I had turned my debt over to FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF. I felt like I was drowning and couldn't fight my way out of the debt I had accumulated. I am very grateful for FREEDOM DEBT RELIEF and would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with debt that is overwhelming and is interfering in their ability to enjoy life... Read More

    Don't Do It!

My credit stinks -they said it would go down, but bounce back and it hasn't. Also, the website is not good. At least provide me an end date on the program and a graph to show me where I'm at in the process. If I had known that they only pay one debt off at a time, I could have put my bills in a pile and done that myself. Overall, not happy with this company. They made negotiations with one company who sued me because of nonpayment and once the case was settled haven't bothered to send the payments and then wanted to say the legal company they use didn't provide information to tell them when or how much to pay the credit card folks, which was obviously not true, they called me because they needed me to ok debiting out my checking account an extra $20 on the next draft to cover the first payment to the credit card people. NEVER go this route if you can avoid it. Hindsight is 20/20 and I wouldn't go this route knowing what I know now... Read More
