MIC is great for VA Home Loans

    (6) (0)
We purchased our first home in 2010 using a local GA bank. After I retired from the Navy I was contacted by MIC to refinance the home loan. We were able to refinance using a VA program that saved us nearly 2.5% in monthly interest and we save over $400 a month for the mortgage. That was very important because the house was used for a rental and we went from paying the balance every month to making a couple $$'s each month. I know we are getting ready to purchase a new home and the second we purchase we will be contacting them to see if they can beat any bank rate. I have a feeling that once again they are going to work to save us money and that that is key when your home is the largest bill each month... Read More

    Old School High Pressure Sales

    (6) (1)
I reluctantly agreed to at home visit during initial phone call, then checked reviews online. Overwhelming negative reviews led me to call back and cancel the at home appointment. The next day the loan officer still came to the house, 40 minutes later than the previously scheduled appointment time, claiming no knowledge of the cancellation. He did the “let me call my manager” tactic. Took me another five minutes to convince them I didn’t want to schedule another appointment and I was going to refinance with someone else. The loan officer at the door was never rude, but he was not professional at all in his dress or appearance. In all fairness, we never discussed rates or fees. The Lending Tree review requires an input (should probably fix that)... Read More

Was not up front with information

    (9) (1)
I am a retired disabled veteran and do not have a current VA loan. I was hoping to get one with this refinancing I'm trying to do. But according to all the other reviews, you have to already have a VA loan and this company does not say that anywhere and Lending Tree as their "sponsor" should not put this company out there as a may be help for so many of us that don't even qualify for their services. The day after I put this in I received a call about my VA mortgage and I told the person I did not have a VA mortgage and he said ok, sorry about the call. I didn't realize at the time that this must have been this company calling and I didn't even know it. I've been waiting for them to call... Read More

    Pushy and Tenacious

    (9) (0)
Representative came to the house for 15 minute appointment and had to be asked to leave after 2 hours. Very uncomfortable evening. Early on I told them that I was not willing to fill out the application without knowing more about their program. The representative kept insisting that I fill out the application and sign it and that I could always cancel it within 8 days. I was not happy with the high pressure tactics used by this company... (12) (2)
They called a few hours after we were "approved" asked who held the VA loan because one of the questions was "are you a veteran" and I am but we don't have a VA loan he said "ok Thanks bye. " worthless

I wish I had read your reviews before I sent them an email and I would not have wasted my time! I emailed them and never heard back. I was going to send a follow up email but after reading your reviews, without currently using my VA loan, they will not help me. Thank you all for your reviews!

    Wrong response from them

    (28) (2)
This may be due to Lending Tree but I specifically answered on the form that I DON"T currently have a VA loan and yet they gave an immediate response. Then on the phone they told me that they ONLY refinance VA loans. They thanked me for my service! They also have a must answer on ratings on items irrelevant to what happened. Stsy away if you want competence!

This company contacted me and scheduled an appointment for the next day, the representative not only did not show for the appointment, he did not even call to explain why he could not make the meeting. Then the next morning at 6:15 in the morning someone else from the company called to try to reschedule the appointment.
