    Subpar Communication and Potential Falsehoods

I wish I could write a glowing review, but my experience with this lender started out on a positive note and ultimately deteriorated. My loan officer was friendly and attentive during our two phone conversations regarding a refinance, but once my paperwork was submitted she wasn't very reachable. I had to initiate communication twice, once to confirm that she had received my documents after two days of radio silence (despite her urgency to receive them), and once after a month to see what was going on (closing had been promised within three week). Both times, I had to make multiple attempts before I got a response. Ultimately, I received a voicemail saying my loan was declined because "Fannie Mae changed their rules about self-employment and you now need 5 years of tax returns instead of 2." According to the Fannie Mae website, the most recent regulations regarding self-employed borrowers were published about a week before I got that voicemail -- and they still officially request just 2 years of tax returns. I also reached out to a loan officer at another bank, who said "Yeah, I have no idea what she's talking about." At present, it appears either the loan officer was either genuinely uninformed about the loan process or she flat out lied to me. In any case, I was promised a follow-up email would explain things further. I'm sure you can guess that it never showed up. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I wasted a month that could have been used engaging with another lender or exploring different financing options.... Read More

Wes won't stop trying to contact me

Way too eager for business and won't stop calling and emailing me. I've had at least 4 calls and 3 emails from Wes in less than 24 hours. I texted him today to please stop contacting me and 1 hour later he called me again. Why on earth would a loan officer keep doing that? No one wants to be contacted like that, its very unprofessional. I retained the emails and phone calls and my text message to stop calling as proof.... Read More

    Late responses, no follow up.

I filled out the Lending Tree form and was contacted several times by this lender. When I called them back to inquire about rates I agreed to fill out an application. It took 3 days to get a response by email, after I had to initiate via email. They never called me as promised, and by the end of it all, weren't a lender I wanted to work with. I ended up working with another lender who was able to call me back and actually follow up in a reasonable time. Most pre-approvals don't take a week, they are usually done in a day at most. This lender took almost 10 days to respond, and that was after I emailed them for an answer. Don't waste the time if you have any doubts about an approval, as they likely won't contact you once you've actually filled out the application... Read More

    Disappointing experience

We were assigned to Chase Morris for our FHA loan. It all started out seemingly normal. We were on a short time frame to close as we had to move out of our rental quickly. A family member gave us the down payment funds, then the run around began. Between the underwriters probing too far into our personal life, invading our family member's privacy to the point of extreme, and Chase's inability to answer questions, emails, phone calls and providing incorrect information, our closing was delayed and almost denied which caused us unnecessary aggravation and inconvenience. As a result we were forced to ask our landlord for more time to move which cost us more money in the end. Although we did get the loan to go through and did close on the house of our dreams, this entire experience was a total nightmare. All the enjoyment and excitement of purchasing a new home was taken from us. The level of incompetence was astonishing. We will be refinancing with another company as soon as we can. We would not recommend Chase Morris nor Network Funding to anyone... Read More

    really poor customer service

Got a call very early in the morning, then 4 more phone calls and 3 emails by the same individual within four hours. In the first voicemail the representative shortened my first name to a despised nickname and in the next four he began talking significantly before the tone. Seemed very inexperienced, or at least lacked interpersonal and phone skills.

    Not Happy

Not happy with the overall experience with this company. Have some issues, but the guy on the phone wouldn't even discuss any of them, or possible solutions. Oh well...moving on.

This client applied through Lendingtree.com for financing. Our loan officer promptly contacted the client to provide more information. We completed the clients application and determined their debt to income ratio was in excess of 67%. A standard ratio is below 45% in most cases. We advised the client that we not be able to offer them financing with our bank. They wanted to add a cosigner to the loan (daughter), whose credits scores were well below our threshold for approval. Network Funding did provide a quick service with the application process. Unfortunately we do not offer options if a client is not qualified for our products. We didn’t extend any financing, fees, or further services after we informed the client they were ineligible. There was zero application charges for this client to apply, and the client incurred no cost with the application process.

    disappointed is an understatement

Almost three months later and I have had a handful of calls that go no where. Most of them are because I am calling and asking where my return call is. They over promised, took our social security numbers, ran our credit twice (which I know is good) and never called back. When I called back, they "found" my file and started everything back up again. Then I never heard from them after that. By far the worst experience I have ever had with a lender... Read More

We were happy to assist this client in the pre-qualification of a purchase mortgage. We completed a full loan application, pulled their credit with the client’s permission and evaluated their credit, income and employment information. We felt that we had great rapport with the client. Unfortunately, we were unable to qualify the client based on the information that we gathered from them. We communicated this to the client and explained exactly why we could not issue a pre-qualification. We wish we could have assisted but we know we did everything that we could to qualify them. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. Our goal at Network Funding, LP is to make the process of qualifying for a mortgage as easy as it can possible be. We believe that the process was easy for this client and we are sorry that we could not qualify them. We hope that we will have another opportunity when the client is in a better position to qualify.

    Very Disappointed

Network Funding gave very little support once we were committed to buying a house. The rep was very nice up to the point that we decided to purchase a house for about one half of the amount that we were approved. Once we made an offer, it was almost impossible to get in touch with our loan officer. On top of that he refused to talk to my real-estate agent, the insurance agency or the title company. At one point the owner of the title company was fed up with not knowing where we were on the loan so he called a manager at Network Funding; only to be told that we had not been approved for the loan. We of course immediately panicked and began trying to find out why in the world we would not be approved. When we did finally get to talk to the loan officer he said we were not only approved but also clear to close. Unfortunately the seller was already on a plane headed back out of town so we had to reschedule the closing. Additionally after closing and moving into the house I needed to spend a couple of weeks on the road. Network Funding’s rep had made a very minor mistake on the paperwork during the closing, and needed it to be changed. They called me and told me that I needed to sign paperwork with the correction and to be sure to use the original date from about a month earlier (they insist this is legal). I agreed and informed them that I would not have access to internet for about a week, but as soon as I was out of the desert I would send it to him. Not three days later they began telling me that they had decided to cancel my mortgage and were going to evict us. I later found out that they were just “yanking my chain”. Personally it was incredibly stressful to deal with their complete lack of professionalism or concern for our edification in the process. Any time that was spent on the phone with me was a desperate wrestling match of me trying to get information and them trying to hang up the phone. We barely made it through the process of buying a house using Network Funding as a lender. Avoid them if you are able. If I had known any better I would not have used them. This was my first time buying, and I did not know any better. I will not make the same mistake again with my next purchase... Read More

    Still Waiting...

Michael DeCicco "Branch Manager" called me on 9/20/12 and said he would call me back in an hour. It is a month later and I still have not heard back from him. Needless to say I will not be doing business with this company.

Our Loan Officer spoke to the customer on October 8th and send a denial letter to their email address the same day. Though no follow up correspondence was made after this letter, we felt this notice was sufficient to let the borrower know that we could not help them with financing at this time. Due to the heavy volume of customers we talk to, there is sometimes not enough ability to give in depth feedback to each customer as to why we could not lend to them. They did not call us further with any questions as this was notated in the email we sent out.
