Great ServiceI already wrote about my experience with Rob. Quintessential Mortgage was equally as great. the processors were always helping me and making sure my loan closed on time. I closed at their White Plains office and I can say it is one of the nicest places I have ever seen. Such a classy establishment. I can tell you that Rob , Tori , and Jenny were all great.

Buying my first homeWorking with Robert was such a great experience. I was actually in the process of getting a loan with my bank but I started to notice there was no service. I went on lending tree to see if I could get a few other options. A part of me did regret doing that as it seemed like I got 100 calls. Some of them people calling me over and over. Robert left me one very friendly message and after a few days I decided to call him back. I could tell by talking with him this would be different. It was like talking to a friend right away. He helped me in so many ways and I ended up getting a great mortgage with a rate even lower than he first said and on top of that no fees. Not only that but he was able to help me improve my credit score so that it would help my loan. He was always available to talk even on weekends and nights. I will totally recommend Rob to all my friends and family and I would tell anyone , Especially someone shopping on Lending Tree to give him a call and see if you notice the difference that I did. I have heard such horror stories so it was such a comfort to find Rob. In fact he is now helping my good friend who like me was in the process and after 3 month ,she still did not close. They are closing next week and the other bank STILL has not called them back. Crazy! We are so excited to spend the holidays in our new home. Thank you to Rob and the great team and Quintessential Mortgage.... Read More

Amazing experienceRobert was without question the most helpful person I ever worked with. I had so many people call me when I applied on Lending tree , so much so that I was worried I made a mistake. But when I spoke to Rob it just felt different. It was not about selling me anything , it was about getting me the best loan. not only did he get me my mortgage at a better rate than I thought but he did it for no fees and was also able to help me get my credit score higher right away so that it helped with the purchase. I know the constant calls from mortgage people can get annoying. If you can contact Rob and you will be all se... Read More

Lender ReviewSamuel from White Plains, NY Confirmed LendingTree Customer
beware....use at your own riskMy husband and I, are second time home buyers and we have mixed emotions regarding our process. Of course, we took the time to search for "the best" mortgage broker and after careful consideration we chose quintessential and immediately began to work with Robert Miller. Mr. Miller demonstrated to be very experienced, knowledgeable throughout the entire process and made himself available at all times. Unfortunately, due to many circumstances we didn't close when we were told we would. We understand these things happen but because we were on our last trimester of my pregnancy, you can imagine we were eager to close. For this reason, we tried our best to be on top of everything and called to ask questions as often as we could. Sadly, everytime we called or emailed, the closing date kept changing to a later time due to something that was supposedly missing. It seemed like there was no sense of urgency, although they claimed to understand our situation. This is not necessarily all of Mr. Miller's fault but he was not realistic regarding the entire process. Then when closing day finally arrived we were blindsided with the monthly amount and a large closing cost we were due to pay. Why? Because we did not receive "final" numbers until about 2 days before the closing date. Mind you that number changed several times from that day until the closing date ( and again there on the closing table!) At closing he seemed so shocked to see the numbers were higher than discussed and that blew our minds... Read More
Was this review helpful?I was very surprised when I saw the review Sam submitted. I was actually unaware of it until the other day. Because I must always protect the privacy of my clients there are details I cannot share in regards to this loan. Sam also tried to offer some compliments as well. I can assure you he would agree that I treat my clients like family and throughout the loan process we likely spoke as much as 100 times. ( NO JOKE) I was very excited to help him and his wife with their new home and I was aware that time was important because she was expecting. I can’t go in to the exact reason for delays but I want to make sure some very important points are clear. There is zero question that customers main concern is not having surprises at closing. The response above insinuates that his loan term and costs were effected which is absolutely not the case. Sam can verify that we in fact closed with a LOWER rate than what we had first planned on. In addition we closed with ZERO fees on our part and in fact we were able to get them a lender credit to help offset costs. Because a significant amount of taxes had to be collect at closing , there closing required more funds than we had hoped. But I think it critical to mention that it was me who took proactive steps at the begging of the process to help make sure This client was happy. In fact Changes that I orchestrated to the contract help greatly reduce the amount of money needed at closing. Had they used someone else I fear that they would have been in a situation where the loan needed more money than they could comfortable part with. The problem that this loan experienced was one completely outside the control of the lender and loan officer. When preparing for closing it was discovered that the home they were purchasing had real estate taxes FAR above what all of us were told. While this is not common it was because the previous owner was under a significant discount plan because of a military exception. This was only learned after final review by the title company who had ordered an updated tax cert prior to closing. The original tax cert made no mention of any special discount. So I was shocked to see this change at closing since in all my years of experience I never had a client buy a home expecting the taxes listed on the listing of the house, and ended up with a figure that was 40% higher. I am extremely passionate about what I and Quintessential Mortgage do for our clients. We have what I would have called a 100% satisfaction rate until I saw this review. I don’t mind people expressing some frustration, and I believe the client actually went out of his way to “ protect” me from this poor review. Since I cannot explain any delay related details as it would require private information, I will end by saying I was saddened to see this review and the headline of the review is completely unfair. This was a great family and they know very well that had I not been involved this loan would NEVER have closed. Anyway looking for help with a mortgage would be very lucky to work with myself or any of the great loan officers who are part of our team.
