I did not know what to expect when refinancing my home. I had so many people tell me how difficult the process was. Jill made it easy for us. We were first-time home buyers. We knew only vaguely the general process of obtaining a mortgage, and that lack of knowledge felt intimidating. JILL WILLY immediately put us at ease, and thoughtfully, carefully led us through the process. Jill stayed with us through the entire process- right up to the day of closing- and never handed us off to another person. Jill returned every telephone we made to her, and answered every question we asked. Jill never condescended to us, and always made certain we understood the details; she would not stop until we were clear in our understanding of the steps as they took place. I'v read the reviews and realize I'm going against the grain with my review but I think its important to be honest. My experience with Jill Willy was that she was condescending, overly defensive, quick to point out mistakes other than her own and just generally has poor customer service skills. If you question something she will be quick to say "I've been doing this for 15 years and I've never seen" which is of no help to you as a mortgage shopper whatsoever. For example: I asked if it was normal that we were two days to closing but yet the underwriters had not signed off. Her response was that we were closing a loan in 3 weeks and my expectations were too high (I never questioned why, just wanted to be sure she was confident). And then she even had the audacity to say "you worry a lot don't you". Look this is my 7th home purchase, we as buyers have very little life experience with mortgages. To treat us as if we should know everything and not question her "15 years experience" shows that she has become coarse and hardened over the years and should probably consider a lateral career change. Jill Willy made this a very stressful purchase for me. The lender she works for was great (just be sure and negotiate some of their "fees" off your costs) this was all about her customer service skills and attitude. Id ask for another processor.
