beware hard inquiry for information!

I've financed cars through Capital One before and never had any issues so for that I would recommend them. I'm writing this review to complain about the fact that I filled out an auto refinance request on Lending Tree (which says nothing about placing hard inquiries on your credit report) just to see what the #s looked like and I woke up the next morning to several notifications of new inquiries on my credit report. When I looked it up, Capital One had pulled my credit report and now I have another hard inqiury on my report. None of the other lenders did this and I also filled out the mortgage one and none of those lenders pulled the report either. Customers should be notified that requesting the information will result in the hard inquiry since its something you get stuck with for a couple of years!

I arrived with financing approved for a $35,000 loan and I was rushed and not told the truth and after the cooling off period was when I was offered the chance to sign the loan and with a different loan company. I was expecting my loan to be processed with Capital One and my down payment was to be cashed on the 1st it was presented to my bank on the 29th and I was told the problem with the blue tooth not being in the car would be fixed ad instead I was offered gas in exchange for the cost of making it functional and the last was I was offered I buy the part they provide the labor. All in all every promise broken and after talking with the general manager he stated that he did understand any of what I was saying and said they would make the Bluetooth functional. I will not buy another car from this dealership.

Cheaper than local credit union

I had been looking locally to refinance an auto loan for a better rate. I thought I had better check with lending tree to gauge rates. They put me in touch with a lender that was able to get me a cheaper rate than my local credit union. My loan officer "Susan" was very helpful and was able to communicate with me by text messages and e-mail. I had the loan documents the next day. She called me and went over all the documents. I signed and returned them - done deal. I am writing this review about a month later and have made my first payment - no complaints
