Complete waste of time!

First of all, iLenders brokers loans, they are not a lenders themselves. This is my experience. I don't know how they get such high marks, but here's my experience.
1. Applied for auto refinance for 7K
2. Was advised that refinance of auto loans in California are illegal.
3. I verified that refinancing a car is NOT illegal.
4. When I called iLender back about this, they seemed to gloss over what I'd found out about CA refinance laws
5. I was now advised that the lenders don't want to do refinance loans on autos under 10K (I only wasted 7K).
6. Was offered an option that if I added a Warranty, Gap insurance and another insurance that would cover cosmetic damage such as paint chips, broken windows, I could reach the 10k threshold. (None of these insurances are required)
7. Advised I'd like to get loan but that in time I'd more than likely cancel the insurances. They said they'd get back to me.
8. I was told that they would not help me because I mentioned that I'd eventually cancel the unnecessary insurances.
9. Was told they could not help me because I'd be cancelled warranties/insurances that were not required.
My take away, don't bother with them unless you're looking for a loan of over 10K.

Not Happy

I initially made contact with an Agent (Marcel Hunt) on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. He asked for a picture of the current mileage and registration/VIN and I send it to him within 5 mins.
On Tuesday morning, August 17,2021at 9:45 A.M. I get a text message from him saying that he calls and "no account". What he is speaking about I have no idea. Then he texts again saying he needs authorization. I try calling him immediately and got sent to VM. I ask him if he is texting about my current auto loan with Toyota and he confirms he is. I call Toyota to get the Pay Off and the 10 day good till date but encouter difficulties in their Telephone Queue but finally succeed after holding for 3 hours, hanging up and calling back wiating another 23 minutes before finally getting someone. I succeed and get the information the Marcel Hunt requires and text it to him at 2:56 P.M.
On Wednesday morning August 18, 2021 at 8:46 A.M. I receive a text message from Marcel Hunt confirming the receipt of the Pay Off amounts. He also states that he has been calling me and the line is busy. I inform him that I'm not on the phone. I try calling him at 9:00 AM. but go to VM immediately. He texts me back at 9:03 A.M. asking me if he has my permission to proceed and submit the application, I reply "Yes". He replies "ok, I'll get this in now.
Thursday, August 19, 2021 I receive no text messages or telephone calls from Marcel Hunt.
Today, Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2:28 P.M. I receive a text message from Marcel Hunt saying he is having difficulty contacting the lady. What lady he does not say. He says he can only leave VM and they keep missing each other. He leaves me the 800 telephone number he has been calling and I realize he is calling the person regarding the Pay Off. I text him back to just speak to anyone. He states that "the options selected on the phone for the things he need all goes to her number. I again text him back to get supervisor or someone else. I inform him to select the option "0" to get someone. I also inform him that I've got no idea, I'm not in the financial business. Marcel replies back with a text that he will keep trying and just wanted to give me an update. At 2:40 P.M. I attempt a telephone call to the number Marcel Hunt has been trying. The telephone queue gives me several options and I select "4", then "2" and a few minutes later I speak to a live person to confirm all the facts that Marcel Hunt has supposedly been trying. I got through with little problems at all. I inform Marcel Hunt of my efforts and with no problems. Marcel Hunt calls me and now wants me to call the number and conference him in on the call for a 3 way call. I let him know that it is his job to do the calling and I helped him out at the beginning but I feel that he needs to make the calls and conference me in. Now he wants to know if I want him to close the application.
I'm not happy about all of this work that I seem to be doing for him.

It didn't happen

I placed an inquiry through Lending Tree, and Ryan Reynolds, of iLendingDIRECT, contacted me via text. We exchanged a few messages, but when I told him that I needed the whole process to be done via text or email, he completely ghosted me.
To not be willing to use the tools at hand to accommodate someones hearing or speech loss is selfish and ablest.
