Not so good of an experience
We had and opportunity to purchase a boat at an extremely good price. After meeting with the seller, they agreed to give me the 1st right of refusal.
I applied online at Lending Tree and was matched with multiple financial institutions. These matches provide me potential loan terms. One of the companies I was matched with was INET.
After a couple hours, I received a call from an INET agent requesting some additional information. I provided the additional information and awaited their call. Later that day I missed a call from the agent. She left a voicemail informing me the loan was conditionally approved "pending" verification of income. I tried to call her back and I guess they had already left for the day.
The next morning I sent my most recent paystubs via email and also requested the "conditionally approved" loan terms. Her response was "I can not provide that until we receive your 2021 W2's as well". B.S. you have seen my credit, you have seen the NADA value of the boat, you have seen my income and my debt to income ratio that confirms my ability to repay the loan. There should be no reason why you can't give me the offered interest rate based on loan length just like every other finance company can and has.
I found INET to be a general waste of time.
Asked a few times to get an email explaining cost breakdown that was refused. Lots of fees I was not clear on on but could have just been my lack of knowledge. I decided to use another lender and was then hung up on when I spoke to the lender.
Good at first... Bad once you sign
Where to start.. Got a blind call after submitting a request thru Lendingtree for funding of a travel trailer. I called and spoke with Terry who was very nice and he walked me thru the process. Once I agreed to the funding terms is when it went downhill.. there were multiple delays in the process on the iNet side (disorganized and forgetting to send the seller the required app to take pictures of the unit until I asked about it) and because the seller was out of town.
I found out that my payment date was the date set on the paperwork 4/22 which was signed almost 2 weeks before funding took place. I asked for my payment date to be moved out due to these delays and that the seller wasn't funded yet. I was then greeted to the other side of Terry's personality... the side that says, I've been doing this for 25 years and it ain't gonna happen tough luc****.take it or leave it. I acquiesce to this realization and resign myself to paying on the date of the paperwork. They then send me a temporary tag that expires on 6/29. I ask for updates at regular intervals to which I get either no response or a response that someone is looking into it with no resolution.. I called about 2 weeks before my expiration and was told by Gretchen that her husband was in a wreck that she would have the girls look into it and was very rude about the entire situation.. again more tough luck pal.... I finally get an email back.. the application got denied by the DMV because they didn't send enough money... Seems fishy.. Fast Forward to today 6/30... I get an email that they have my tags but refuse to ship them overnight to me even when I explain that I have a trip scheduled for this weekend... This company is a prime example of one that is the bait and switch.. good until you sign then terrible to you when you do..
