I want to say that lightstream finally came through for me. I had to improve my credit in order to get the better rates the company offers. I transfered a personal loan that was 3 percent higher and consolidated my credit cards. Very good apr for the amount and time. I saved money and kept the same length of time left to time from the previous personal loan. Thank you Lightstream.

Bad Experience
I have a credit score of over 750. I have done everything right for years (kept my ratio of debt to available credit way down, paid on time/every time, increased my available credit without increasing my debt, not opening too many accounts).*.none of that matters to this com******.they just want your info...I suspect they sell it. Immediately after they checked my credit (I have identity theft protection and get real time alerts) other lenders began doing hard inquires as well. How did those lenders get my info??? That immediately starts dropping your credit score. It's one thing if they approve you - but to do that and then deny you!! It's very shady. Folks, read the reviews and apply at your own risk. I am not rich, but have a steady income, and I have a cushion in the bank. Credit-wise I have done everything perfectly for years. I would not have applied for a loan if I thought they were going to deny it!

'Pre-Approved', and then they damage my credit with a hard check only to deny. University professor with good income. Ridiculous, but have similar experiences with Lending Tree so now is the definitive 'never ever use Lending Tree again'. So annoying

Nope Not Worth the Effort
Don’t waste your time, it’s not worth the hassle. I have a 713 score and very good credit, with an income in six figures and was not approved for a used auto loan of 47k. Like most banks, they are only loaning to big businesses with a long standing let me kiss your a** relationship. Everyone else is a waste of their time. And yours. Funny how the t.v. Commercials say your local bank is supporting the community for families and small businesses. Not true, that is false advertising because unless you are the big dollar person with millions in your account, earning .5% interest while the bank reinvests your own money for 6-8% return, you’re not getting approved for anything, unless it’s a credit card. You’ll get approved for that because after you default on the card, they write off the loss then roll it into a high risk fund, sell that and after that fund fails they go to the government to get a free handout for this down market. So, as you can see, like me, you are not important to this bank so skip the time and hassle of filling out this application, you will be denied.

Total scam, READ Reviews first--my fault for not doing it, I was leery at first and I should have listened to my gut**.pre******** for great interest rates and low monthly payments, set your own terms just for them to do a HARD CHECK on your credit report. DENY and give absolutely fabricated reasons. I should stick with my instincts on these but I thought, Lending Tree wouldn't have a scammer on their website, sure eno*****.found it! DO NOT USE LIGHTSTREAM!

So easy!
LightStream wasn’t even on my radar, until they were the ones I went with. Super easy! They will even deposit funds into your personal bank account (same day!) and allow automatic payments from your personal bank account. If you’re having trouble getting approved, then I Highly recommend LightStream. I have a high credit score, but a thin credit file, which seems to be LightStream’s niche. Check them out for yourself.
