Polite but deceptive -not a lender/investor
Of the two "PREFERRED LENDERS" -the survey results suggested -we went with Seek Capital. This company is NOT a lender NOR an investor group! It is a financial consultation intermediary group with no leverage to get what is projected. This was the beginning of a slippery slope of smoke screen service. We followed their parameters of their recommendation of SEEK Capital. They FALSELY claimed they have a CONNECTION with these lenders but we did not receive one loan but instead 3 credit cards. They only got us less than 50% on the LOW side of the QUOTED range with the COMBINED approvals after causing 5 Hard INQUIRIES on my credit. LendingTree still has the audacity to send SPAM with adds for personal and business "loans" or credit card offers.
This company is a sham and to hurt small businesses with false hopes, they should have to pay for their deceptive practices. Entrepreneurs beware if they don’t get you the money you need you still will owe 10-11% of whatever amount you do get plus their service fees for filling out your applications and you have to pay for a credit monitoring so they can do this.
Closed with Lender:
This was a surprisingly bad experience
This company called me in response to my inquiry for a start up business loan. At first they seemed professional. However as the call progressed more fast talking and hard sell ensued, i was constantly reminded that other banks based on my application would not provide a loan and Seek Capital was my only choice. Ultimately the offer was to finance me via multiple credit cards at 19% or higher, not acceptable. If you are looking for funding i would skip these guys
Absolutely terrible experience
I felt rushed and bullied. I needed time, well 24 hours is all you get. I decided after talking for an hour this isn't the direction I wanted to go. i wasn't getting a good feeling from the pushy lending supervisors. So I decided to not continue with this company, and yes a $495 cancellation fee. my fault for not reading the very lengthy and wordy contract. But rushed while the lender was holding while I was reading. Read the first couple pages, but again felt rushed to complete. Never did I see the cancellation fees. SNEAKY, SNAKEY AND COMPELTELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!
