the entire experience was tedious, redundant and the agent did not, perhaps could not, respond to our original conversation/ agreement that , to avoid the redundancy and poorly organized system of their robo-mails ( received 10 identical emails throughout the same day).

Did Not Honor Multiple Quotes
My experience is similar to the review by A S. My first 2 loan officers were too busy to work with my refinance. My 3rd loan officer, Paul Dean, returned phone calls and emails until I paid the $500 fee, which I understood to be a rate lock fee. Paul Dean did not respond after I paid the $500. After 2 months of auto-generated emails, I finally called all of AmeriSave's customer service numbers until I found someone that sent my contact information to their customer service resolution department. The person that called me back put me in contact with Paul Dean's manager, Sean O'Laughlin. Sean informed me that Paul Dean did not lock my rate, costing me over $10,000 in extra rate cost, above what was quoted to me, and what I applied for multiple times. Fast forward another month, (over 3 months in all) and AmeriSave finally put a loan officer on my refinance to finish the refinance. Even after concessions for Paul Dean's incompetence, I was still out over $4000 in increased rate costs. Do not walk away, run away from this mortgage company, and all of its locations in other states. Their customer facing loan systems are mostly automated, and their loan officers are too busy in this home buying and refinance frenzy time.

Pathetic
The rate they offered seemed good. I submitted all the info they asked for. I have excellent credit, plenty of income and lots of equity. They said they would complete the deal in record time. After 12 days, they still hadn't approved the loan. I complained to the load officer and she said I was welcome to call a different lender. Twice they sent blank faxes to my bank. My bank called to ask about them. I relayed the info to the load officer and she didn't know either. They all seem a bit clueless. My banker asked if they could do a proposal. I said yes. They matched Amerisave rates and approved the load in three days. If you use Amerisave, expect answers to your emails in two or three days. Service isn't their forte. I don't know what is.

He first gave us a 2% rate, but a month later changed it to a 2.25%. He was incorrect on how much our Tax and insurance was leading us to believe our savings was much more substantial than it actually turned out to be. He was hard to get a hold of when trying to ask questions. He was incorrect when talking about how much cash I was able to get back without changing our monthly payment.
Gave conflicting advice, did not disclose the full implications of a rate lock, did not inform on changes to points after appraisal and/or after reducing LTV. Was overly casual with his tone in conversation, called me silly at one point for considering walking away from the loan given all the logistical issues. Loan took 4 appraisals for some reason which led to a delay to the final closing, also referred to me by My man via email. Only positive is Jeff is very responsive via email.
Closing took over 6mo despite all information being provided upon request. Multiple changes in processors. Questions had to be answered multiple times. I wish I had cancelled two months onto the process. I will and have already advised friends or colleagues to use alternate options.
This is by far the worst mortgage company from start to finish. I would never recommend them. My loan was a disaster and messed up that caused many delays. Now my mortgage is messed up and still 3 months later trying to get back monies that was over paid due to their mistake with my insurance and had to have it taken out of my escrow. They owe me about 500 and still have my payments the same causing me to double pay and even after the escrow analysis. Lots of promises and nothing more. Good luck getting anything resolved as I have sent 6 emails and no response. Call customer service and they will transfer you to every dept as it is not their problem. Pass the buck as you would say. All I can say is good luck and may the power be with you if you go with them. I am going on my 4th payment now and cant wait to change lenders. I hate even giving them 1 star but you have to give something to do the review.

Terrible Experience
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Amerisave and I hope that this warning will save others from experiencing the same. They kept leading me on for over 4 months on my re-fi after requiring $500 up front (not for an appraisal, just as a fee for the application process). There were weekly demands for more and more documents – documents that they could have asked for at the beginning of the process. My loan originator, Chad Luckner, was almost always slow to respond, and never helpful. His emails actually had the gall to include this line in the signature: "A referral from a friend, past client, or colleague is the highest compliment I can ever receive." I cannot imagine that he has ever received a referral. When a "Customer Care Rep" was assigned to my account due to my complaints, I was hopeful, but 2 weeks later my emails to him bounced back as undeliverable. When I found another mortgage company and rep here in Colorado, with all the same information that Amerisave had on hand, they were able to complete my re-finance within 30 days (with no $500 fee required). Do yourself a favor. Do not go down the Amerisave rabbit hole!

A Horrible Experience
Although there were some nice people the whole process was a failure once we decided to go with Amerisave. I was repeatedly asked to turn in documents that I had already turned in. There were continual delays on their end. There were continual mistakes in the documents that the agent kept telling us just to ignore and it would be straightened out by closing. Our closing was canceled 5 times. We have had our loan since November 2020 and they have paid our taxes. I have called over and over and they have escalated in 3 times. I have emailed the requested documents to the tax department. Nobody has emailed me back or called me back once. Today the supervisor said a manager will call me back within 24 hours. He said he is escalating it and will personally get back to me within 3 day. I have heard this before. Who knows, maybe this time it will actually happen. There excuse early on was that they were swamped and had hired 2000 college students to help them process all the loans and there was a learning curve. Also, when you want to hold someone accountable, you can't. There is no way to contact the same person. You can't talk to anyone in the tax department. This has been a beyond a ridiculous experience. I had dozens of contacts just to get my loan thr*******.Now it just keeps getting worse and worse. However, these will be really nice people you talk to on the phone. It is just that their whole system is broken and nobody seems to know how to fix it.

Worst experience of my life
Worst experience of my life. I'm incredibly frustrated, upset, and confused about my experience with Amerisave and with your team, specifically Michelle Clark, and Chris Scianimanico. Last week Michelle emailed me on the 24th of March to say the loan is in final underwriting and it should be done "this week" (4th or 5th time I've heard that one)I emailed on Friday of last week to ask for an update. No response. I emailed again Monday. No response. I emailed again yesterday. No response. All of these emails were to all 3 of you. All I'm doing is going off of YOUR words and asking for an update based on those words. This is approximately the 15th time that I reached out and have gotten no response back after multiple days. Today I find out after calling Michelle that on the 24th the underwriter put in a note that it needs to be restructured. I didn't get any communication about this at all. And from what Michelle told me, no one took action on it, making this a entire week delay a totally avoidable, a delay upon delay that's already 8 months into this. This shouldn't take longer than a pregnancy. I have no choice now but to call each of you every single day since I have zero trust or faith that anything will be done or any of my messages will be responded to or even read. I also have no choice but to start filing BBB complaints and leaving detailed honest reviews about my experience with your team and you as individuals. I have so much energy from my anger that I will be spending the entire day doing this.I run a business based on integrity, trust and customer satisfaction and I am horrified about how you guys operate. I think everyone else needs to know as well before getting into a deal with Amerisave. The way things are done is totally unacceptable, it feels like a DMV from a 3rd world country but it's called Amerisave. All you guys have done so far is waste my time, not save. I'm sorry about my harsh words but at the same time I'm not. I hope this is the honest feedback you guys need to change your ways. Sincerely,Rao Fu
