Mike Kruger did a tremendous job through the entire process of obtaining a loan up through closing on our house!

My wife and I have never purchased a house before so we were very nervous and had tons of questions about everything. Initially I was concerned that because he was located in Kentucky and we were in New Jersey, that this might be an issue. This turned out to not be the case at all. Mike was super attentive to our questions every step of the way. When I called, he was there to answer all of our questions and made the entire process as seamless as possible!

He got us an incredibly low interest rate, and he also was extremely accurate with his good faith estimate. I compared the GFE to the Settlement HUD statement we received at closing, and the out of pocket costs at closing were almost identical to that which was stated on the GFE. When I compared this to other GFE's that I obtained from other mortgage companies at the start of the process his was the lowest. Financially it was the right decision to go with First Commonwealth Mortgage, but the attention that Mike gave us was really the best part by far.

I just can't say enough about how fantastic Mike was through the entire process.

Awful Final Lender

While the First Commonwealth Mortgage team was responsive to our much needed requests for status and updates, the lender that they identified to deliver our mortgage left a lot to be desired. The lender introduced new and unexplained twists and turns on a daily basis as we got down to the wire. The timing of their antics could not have been worse, as the stress at the end of the process is already bad enough. We nearly left First Commonwealth all together to pursue another option due to the lender. The lender drove our poor scores as they were outside of their control.

Excellent Transaction

I worked with Laura Martin on a loan for a short sale and after several months waiting on price approval the loan was finally pushed through in about 3 weeks. I wasn't extremely satisfied about the underwriter, but all in all in worked out in the end. Laura worked extra hard to get this pushed through in record time, even working on the weekend when I was first drafting the initial paperwork for the short sale submission so I definitely appreciated that. My overall purchase experience with this house was about a 1 out of 10, due to the short sale, but First Commonwealth Mortage had no part in that. They all did a great job getting me and my family in this house right on time.

I applied for a loan quote and they matched this lender with me. They started mailing and calling me even after I said I don't need their loans. Try another lender.

First commonwealth Mort/ Mike Krueger

I had a awesome loan officer "Mike Krueger" . Mike was available at day or night even on the weekend to answer my questions by by phone or text. I had almost given up on a home loan cause local banks could only give me 100k but Mike was able to get me up to 140k @a 3.75 interest. Mike is now not only a loan officer but now a friend.
