Current mortgage is with this lender. VA Streamline refinance is coming up on 7 weeks. 750 credit scores, plenty of income, very very small debt to income ratio. There is zero reason this should take this long. Little to no communication, when I call them (if I can get off hold) they tell me final steps and blame others, like the title company. Previous experience was solid, not sure what is going on with this company two years later.
Could have been great
The refinance process with Freedom Mortgage was actually pretty good. I liked the loan officer that I worked with and feel like I got a decent deal on my refi. The loan officer specifically told me that "Freedom Mortgage services all of their own loans. So my loan would not be sold." I've had several mortgages in the past, and it's not a huge deal when they are sold, but having to enroll with new companies and set up new automatic payments etc is a pain. So, I considered the fact that they don't sell their loans a plus when I decided to go with Freedom Mortgage.
A few weeks after closing on my refi, they sold my loan. I had already set up my online account with Freedom Mortgage, linked my bank account and set up automatic monthly payments and figured I was good to go. Now I'm working through some difficulty setting up my online account with the new company because Freedom Mortgage didn't transfer my contact information (phone number and email) when they transferred the loan. My biggest complaint is that they told me they service their own loans and then turned around and sold my loan before my first payment was due, and didn't even give me a 30 day notice.

What begins well can quickly get stuck in the mud!
Daryl Hertz has been great. We started out great but soon after in some form of underwriting all has stopped. Lending tree has an offer listed but the offer has devolved and very quickly many excuses about the slow progress.
My credit was accepted also the value of my home which I owe 0, I have no mortgage, was accepted @ 1170** with current appraisal. My income to debt is is approximately 32%. I don't understand what the hold up could possibly be. Very disappointing. From the website it seemed they could work with anyone who is qualified. I am disabled and can afford the original offer.
Original approval and excitement about loan officer confirmation is soon replaced with less and less confidence as response from company wanes.
Incredible inconvenience and a lingering waste of time. At this point, I cannot recommend.
