The worst EVER!!!

Only 1 star because I cannot leave 0 stars!!! This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with financing; it was 1000% worse than buying a car. After shopping the lending terms and finding a better rate and fees, I asked Denis Giakos to withdraw my application in writing in my email to him on 4/22/22. What followed was the most unprofessional outreach; emails, phone calls, text messages; emails to my realtor going on and on about what a terrible decision I was making. I repeatedly emailed confirmation back to all parties that I have already requested to withdraw my application and refund my appraisal fee that was not completed. After the last email on 4/29 to yet again reiterate the fact that I withdrew my application and an appraiser tried to schedule an appraisal walk-through for 5/3/22. I am ready to close on Friday and these type of blatant disregard for my request weeks ago is causing now problems as the seller's agent is having to manage your team's unprofessionalism to declining appointments. My appraisal deposit that still has not been refunded and the clear disregard for my request in writing to stop all work on my behalf, yet they are continuing as of today. I would never recommend you or your services to anyone for them to have the same bullying tactics and not have the consumer at the forefront of every decision and action. Again, this has been the most horrific experience I have had to deal with!

Stay Away

No mortgage process is easy, but the team at LoanDepot seemed to go out of their way to make the process less enjoyable at almost every step. If you have the option to choose another lender, then I recommend doing so.

Didn’t close on time

It started off great but the loan officer and loan processor requested different documentation that they wanted done at the last minute. That was different than the underwriter. No one sent the package until 2 days after I was to close and that was only after I repeatedly called the manger’s phone. I didn’t not get the closing guarantee and the real estate agent the recommended and provided a discount for was unprofessional and lied about home availability. DO NOT USE. By far the worst of my 7 home closings.
