The whole process was slick! Uploading my info was easy and I liked the online checklist I could refer to at any time to see where things were at in the process. I liked that even though I could access that info on the site, I was also sent a text and an e-mail with any updated info or ‘next steps’ that I needed to do. Communication was outstanding! My loan officer Jared was outstanding as well! He was easy and fun to work with, and I appreciated how quickly he always responded to me!
Getting a loan or refinancing ranks up with buying a used car, in my experience. There is so much hype, BS, fake friend talk, etc. And big promises about interest rate and time frame. I feel fortunate to have connected with Jared, though it was pure chance. He laid out the basics, explained the process, did just enough getting acquainted type talk, and made a wild promise that this would only take 15 days and if it took longer he'd give me $500. Sure. Well, the application was as smooth as I have exp**********.their software is good, pretty easy to use, and communication by text worked well, Jared was almost always instantly available or within a few minutes, and knew what was going on. I had a bit of a hangup on the $200 deposit, but I figured if they scam me, I'm out only $200 and shame on them. What happened was the loan was approved promptly, but I believe they forgot to count Thanksgiving, and it took maybe 17 days, I never went back to count. I teased Jared about where's my $500, and got a kind of joking reply, I thought. No big deal anyway, the re-fi was an excellent step for me. Bring on massive inflation! The $200 was refunded as promised, the loan closed just basically exactly as Jared had originally outlined, it funded, all electronically except for a real roving title insurance agent came to the house and helped me sign the final docs. Later I received a nice thank you basket of goodies, which disappeared quickly, and life went on. However, a few days ago a check for $500 arrived. I have to say this was the best experience with a mortgage company I've had in 55 years of buying and selling my succession of homes. I just have to go along with the five star reviews. I would say that I cannot think of anything that could have realistically gone better. Thanks!
