The Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company has been helping customers since 1909. Inspired by hometown values and committed to being responsible and caring for each other, we exist for the benefit of our customers.
And, like our customers, we thrive on relationships and building genuine, enduring connections. As a Mutual company our focus isn’t about increasing share prices. It’s helping customers reach their financial goals.
What that means if you’re considering a new home purchase or refinance, you can feel secure knowing Mutual of Omaha Mortgage exists solely to do right by our customers, every time.
We understand that to some companies a loan is a loan is a loan. That’s not us and it’ll never be. Buying (or refinancing) a house is more than a financial decision. It’s the promise of a life you want to build and the memories you want to make. And that’s why before we talk home loan solutions, we focus on you and your needs.
Originator reached out and pushed super hard to make a hard inquiry to give me a horrible rate that is higher than most of the big banks.

Really poorly treated
Originator seemed helpful & knowledgeable, but after nearly 2 months & the appraisal, I was told I had to supply documents from the previous owner. I have owned the house for 16 yrs and would have no way of acquiring them. When I reached out to the originator, he sent my message on to someone else. I was told they didn't know it was a mfg house, even though I revealed that up front. So they would not do the refi. I don't recommend MoO Mortgage to anyone.

Great Experience
Matt was very professional, thorough, and easy to work with. My questions were answered thoroughly and in a timely matter. He is definitely committed to his clients satisfaction.
I have used many different lenders to purchase homes and refinance homes. The process with Mutual of Omaha Mortgage was the easiest and most efficient process that I've encountered. I will use Mutual of Omaha Mortgage for any future home financing and have already began to refer them to relatives, friends and neighbors. 5 Star across the board.

WARNING****** Unprofessional, deceiving representatives and management in training.
Christian was our rep and he said anything and everything to gain our confidence in him. When things started going left he would say his team dropped the ball and tell you to sign papers regardless if they were wrong to avoid a delay on the loan. I let him know we didn't feel comfortable signing anything that wasn't right and he said he would talk to his manager to fix the problem and we would get an updated Disclosure (final ) with the "right" numbers. Well, three days passed and we didn't hear anything so we took him for his word and assumed everything was corrected and the numbers would add up to the numbers he gave us over the phone. Unfortunately, that was a big mistake. The day of the closing we recieved a call from Christian (15 mins before the closing was to take place) informing us the numbers were wrong and to add 3000 to their closing fee. When we informed him we were not okay with that he flipped out and started yelling at us, said he was not that experienced with the loan process and yelled over and over again that he has spent more than enough time on the loan even after hours and we should basically be grateful and proceed with the closing. Needless to say we didn't sign because we refused to be bullied into a loan with last minute fees of 3000 or more, I also don't think it was very professional for Mr.Striker (supposedly Christian's manager) to call us and spend 40 minutes telling us how" greenhouse" Christian was and how his lack of experience shouldn't be a reflect on the company. After what I've experienced with this company the 1 star rating is very generous. ****I strongly urge you to**** 1. PLE*****.Hold on to your appraisal money (which they won't refund), 2. Avoid the stalling tactics. 3. Don't fall for the "last minute" fees they try to throw at you with the assumption you will not walk away..( which we did). UPDATE****** WARNING!!! PLEASE DONT USE YOUR BANK /DEBIT CARD! It has been 24 days since we walked away (nothing signed) from the scammers and they used my bank info to charge me 350.00. which was definitely not authorized. Originally I wasn't going to post a review because I considered it as a lesson learned but when you're being spiteful, unprofessional, shady and trying to illegally steal money from my account without authorization its time to warn others of your deceptive ways and just how vengeful Mutual Omaha Mortgage Company can be when they are exposed.

Very poor experience
My biggest complaint is that they did not follow through on doing anything they said they would. I am older and have had a number of mortgages in my lifetime so it's not like I don't understand the approval process. But this company just wasted a lot of my time. My credit is exceptional and I qualified with little problem but they would ask the same questions over and over and never listened to anything that was said--even when it was in writing. After having positive experiences with numerous mortgage companies, I can say without hesitation, this is not one of them. The point is, whatever your experience, you can definitely do better.

I found my experience with Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, was not a good one
I found my experience with LendingTree lenders, Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, was not a good one. I got four lenders that wanted to get me loan, two the posted their offer in print other two wanted to conduct business my phone, which left no way compare offers. Mike Pomponio Mortgage Loan Originator, I never got to speak to I called him, called on the phone once, email him three times and never had a conversation. This afternoon another person intervenes informing me that company did not make loans requested, for me to apply with a local credit union. I found the whole matter very disrespectful, ill-mannered and rude!

First time buyer
Steve was the most helpful in answering any question that I had regarding FHA loans USDA loan or any inquiry that I could think of . He was reachable at any time any day and never hesitated to provide any resources that he felt might be helpful for the loan borrowing process. I strongly recommend him to anybody he definitely worked with me when a lot of other lenders wouldn’t.
This was the best I’ve seen from any other company I’ve dealt with in the past. Quintin helped me with every detail along the way. The communication was superior keeping me informed on everything that was happening in the process to finalize the loan. I would rate this as a 10 or the highest rating I can give.
SLOW and seemed like they made up rules as they went along!
I was shopping for a lender and was contacted by Tim Flaherty of Mutual Mortgage. Tim was excellent! He was on top of things, communicated effectively and efficiently, and took the time to explain to me each step of the application process. However, Tim left Mutual midway through my loan experience, and it was ALL DOWN HILL from there!! There were too many people involved and information was not relayed from person to person, so I was having to repeat information over and over. My mother was a co-borrower and we live in different states - you would think this was the first time they had dealt with a situation like this! After providing ALLLLLL of the documentation they had asked for and having a closing scheduled for Feb 18th, the underwriters questioned something that I had informed Tim of SIX months prior!! This set us back, as there were MORE HOOPS to jump through, which could have been dealt with all along but instead were left until the last minute. We ended up closing a MONTH later!! Even after closing (after both my mother and I signed, in our respective states), there were issues that they "hadn't realized" needed to be resolved. They really seemed unknowledgeable and disorganized, as though it were their first rodeo. I very much DO NOT recommend this company!!! (I only gave 2 stars because Tim was so good, which made the beginning of the process bearable. Otherwise it'd be 1 star.)
