Mostly Good
I was very pleased with most of the process, except for a lack of information about the rate, increased fees, and the availability date of the funds.

It was decent
Communication was good. He was responsive even on weekends and evenings. He was quick to get us the documents we needed and to communicate what he needed from us. That's the positive with good communication.
He did lack attention to detail on inputting information. I understand mortgage paperwork has a lot of details and probably has a lot of people involved. But there were personal information inputted wrong and we would be advised that it doesn't matter he can fix it later even though he is asking is a signature saying that we have reviewed it and accept it by signing.
If mortgage paperwork really isn't that big of a deal and we should just sign even though the information is wrong, then why are there statements on there saying I certify this, I acknowledge that, etc? It's because it does matter. So, that was the negative. He lacked attention to detail and would ask us to just sign anyways with incorrect information when he should have spent the time to fix it and send it back to us with the correct details.

Wouldn't Lower Rate After They Dropped
When initially contacted by NBofKC I was quotes a good rate. After discussions with the lender I was told that if rates went down a 1/4 point or more, they would have their pricing dept review everything again and work out a new lower rate for my refi. When that day came, the pricing dept refused to lower the rate, even though the lender admitted that I could get a better deal somewhere else. After dealing with that, plus have 3rd party companies call me, without advance notice from the bank, and the lender being somewhat unorganized in letting me know what paperwork was required, I decided not to sign the closing documents with this bank. The paperwork issue was minor. The 3rd party calling issue was bothersome. But, not following through on lowering the rate was, in my opinion, very unprofessional, and shows no regard for proper business relations.
