Don't expect to get a response
After several email and text messages with no response, I finally gave up and went with another lender. Worked with Carmelo the entire experience was a waste of time.
Don’t waste your time with Prime lending
I cannot give a negative star rating but if I could, prime lending would definitely go that low.
I had issues at almost every step. They ordered a survey that I already had submitted. Had I not caught it I would have been billed $400 for it. Don’t let them order the surveys btw. I got mine done for $250. They never called to see if the property had a survey completed, they just assumed it needed one and ordered it.
Then I got in an argument with my replacement loan agent because he told me I could not use down payment assistance when indeed I could. He also told me it would be of little or no benefit to me. I ended up getting over 7k in grant money.
The builder went over the 1 year deadline and he was supposed to incur fees but prime lending never did anything and instead billed me for it.
I borrowed 164k but was billed for 170k. They refused to give me a cost breakdown on how I got to 170k. That not including the 11k in closing fees.
My inspection and appraisal were delayed because the agent forgot to order them. That delay cost me over $850. He then forgot to order the last survey so my closing date was delayed another week. So another $200 in fees.
I contacted customer service and filed a complaint. It took a week for someone to email me back. That was after calling, emailing through the website and posting on their Facebook. I did that at the beginning of April. It’s now may10 and besides an acknowledgement of my complaints, I have not heard form them. Every time I call the customer service agent she says she’ll look into it and call me back but never does.
There were other issues but I got the major ones.
Closed with Lender:
From the first interview, on December 2, I have submitted key information like tax, credit, bank. But it was not until the closing week (1/10/20) that they started searching that they had to postpone 1 week to 1/17/20. Four days earlier they found out my IRS was in trouble and in that I lost $ 2000.00 550.00 inspection. Will you pay me for your irresponsibility or what?
