Complete waste of time!

We attempted to refinance our condo and were basically mislead by our loan officer Rod Davis for over a month before being rejected despite 800 credit and more than adequate income. The whole month was frustrating due to lots of requests for documents already provided and total lack of communication. The real issue is the loan officer is not well versed in various kinds of income (Short term rental and retirement accounts). Once it became apparent that he was not competent enough to have a meaningful conversation regarding our assets/income he refused to answer our questions which would have allowed the correct information to be reported. Instead he gave erroneous info to the UW and would not listen when we tried to explain/educate; simply stated he was closing the file. Not one time did he offer to speak with us and try to understand our financial holdings. He continually blamed issues on the loan processor on his team even though I feel the ultimate responsibility falls to the loan officer to keep the deal moving along. Once it became apparent that he lacked the education to assist, he became very unprofessional and sent nasty emails which I will be sharing with management. He continued to blame us and other people on his team for his lack of diligence. Maybe this company could help you if you have one simple W-2 source of income but anything other than that I caution you to not waste your time. Huge lack of training/education and very unprofessional loan officers.

Don't waste your time

After being sucked in with advertised low rates and fees, they proceeded to use an appraiser known for undervaluing homes, which they then used as reason to jack up the fees. Fine, you don't want my business. Several other companies will gladly re-finance my house. To add insult to injury, they won't transfer the appraisal (which I paid for out of my pocket). I wasted $450 on this company. Complete rip off. Stay away.

Very disappointed in my experience with consumer direct mortgage! I was lured in by their agent - Frank White with great rates and initially very quick response time which I was initially impressed with which is why I decided to move forward with this lender vs countless others. After competing a refinance mortgage application, running my credit which was in the 780's I was told that my 1099 income would not be counted and my investment property income would no be sufficient,however, if I can show future employed status income then we may be able to proceed. After providing a copy of a future W-2 income contract for expected earnings higher that required by the loan amount plus my W-2's over the past 2 years the agent I was working with- Frank White, disappeared from the face of the Earth with no responses to my phone calls, emails or texts. Few days later I received a mail notice that my loan request was declined citing reasons that are false, not applicable to my case and never mentioned by agent as points of concern. I find my experience with this lender to be very unprofessional and concerning. It is perfectly ok to decline someone for a mortgage if they don't meet the criteria, but not ok to deceive, provide false information and then disappear!
