Great deal on refinance with debt consolidation
Once I submitted my info on Lending Tree I had several mortgage companies call me regarding my refinance/debt consolidation. I was set to go with another company who presented me with a great offer verbally. With that company, the loan officer brought in a customer service rep who QUICKLY went thru all of the initial paperwork including the Good Faith Est*****.Once I hung up, I realized the Good Faith Estimate was not at all the great offer that had been initially been presented to me over the phone by the loan officer. Their enormous closing costs were eating up funds that could have been used to further pay down my credit card debt. At that point I reached out to Mark Balenger with United Mortgage who had previously contacted me. Initially, I was worried because of some negative online information about United Mortgage regarding the number of phone calls they make when they learn you're looking for a mortgage. I expected the loan officer to be a fast talking salesman but Mark was anything but. He took the time to answer my questions and went thru the Good Faith Estimate and other loan documents thoroughly so I knew exactly what I was getting. He answered emails and phone calls within minutes and was patient with all of my questions. The loan closing process was painless - just met with the notary and had the documents signed within 30 minutes. The checks to pay off my credit cards were received within a week and I am now saving $600 per month!
