The rep.s are condescending, intrusive, and confrontational. They lack common decency and are very unprofessional. The guy was literally yelling at me.

Rude
I was just checking rates. Since I have Excellent Credit and didn't need to refinance I said I wanted the lowest rate quote. I was told rates were 2.5 or higher. Since I already had a quote for 1.98 for 15 I stated I was not interested in paying a higher rate. He said why and hung up.

Terrible Experience
She got all of my information and portrayed great service. Then she just disappeared with a single communication. Run!
Brian was way less than honest about closing costs, fees, and interest rates. He deliberately omitted fees and costs in emails he sent. He took it upon himself to lock into a higher interest rate than we had discussed which cost me more money. His work is sloppy. He has no follow-thru. Never received final closing documents prior to the notary showing up at my door. The closing documents had the wrong closing fees, left off a person that was supposed to be on the tittle. When I couldn't get in touch with Brian, I called his supervisor. His supervisor called me back and he was DRUNK!! What a MESS!!
AND THEY SOLD MY MORTGAGE TO ANOTHER COMPANY. IT MADE FE LIKE I WAS USED. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

He was very helpful during the whole process was great to work with.
The experience was very well handled and also very helpful. I would recommend your services. I appreciate all the help that was given to make this process go quickly.
We were looking to refinance our home. We've lived in the house for almost 16 years, with 14 years left on the mortgage. After reaching out to Royal United, we heard back very quickly. I explained that we were looking to refinance a variable rate mortgage to a fixed rate mortgage and would also like to entertain reducing the finance period to 10 years. The second part was a want and not a need, but while we're looking we may as well consider the possibilities. I asked the person we were working with for information on the various loans - interest, closing costs, etc. The person said that he couldn't provide this type of information until they ran our credit. So, we unfroze our credit at Experian and a credit check was run. Shortly after the reports were run, we were provided our scores (both well over 700) and two options - one for a 15 year loan and the other a 25 year option. The details provided on both options consisted of Loan type, Loan term, Proposed payment (PI), Savings and estimated annual savings. I sent an email asking if there was a 10 year option that he could quote and asked a second time for information on the 15 year loan - What is the interest rate for the loan? Are there any out of pocket expenses up front? If so, will you spell them out for us? Are there any additional costs being added to the loan? That was January 29th. As of February 23rd, we have not heard back from this company. If we could give it zero stars, we would.... one will have to do. Don't waste your time with this company.

made me feel a red flag
I was inquiring about an refinance and was called by this company. I was offered 3 scenarios that just didn't offer what I was looking for. Mr Jordan Jessup set up a time to call me that afternoon at 5.00. no call or exclamation on why I didn't get a call back. I ended up emailing him myself and he said had covid and would get back to me. well I am sorry he was ill but still in being professional someone could of made the call. I emailed I would like the hard hit taken off my credit since I didn't get offered anything to help me. no word back.

BAD, BAD, BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
Why people refinance their houses? To get better interest rate (lower monthly payments, safe money) and/or get some cash for whatever reason it may be. Not in my case. My rep Robert Mondo promised to refinance my house based on my credit report (810 points) and appraisal, but appraisal would have to be done first and PAID BY ME $490.00 So I appraised my house and it showed pretty large equity much higher than amount for refi. Meanwhile he begged me "please don't go to anybody else". Then I received lock in contract which showed closing cost almost $10,000.00 I figured it's ok my payments going to be lower and expense will pay for it self over period of time, so I signed. Guess what, he and Teresa Lindsey (Loan Processor and Team Leader) brainwashed me for the next 3 month to no avail. At the end instead of cash in my pocket I'm out of $490.00 PEOPLE BEWARE DON'T PAY FOR APPRAISAL NO MATTER WHAT, BETTER YET DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ROYAL UNITED!!!

Misleading agent
They approached me and offered competitive rates, sent me an acceptance letter then had me pay for my appraisal which cost $800, it came back higher much than I had thought, then turned me down for my loan. Leaving me with the expensive appraisal cost. Misleading sales agent praying on senior citizens.
