I was very pleased with the service provided by Andrew Carlin and Surepoint. The whole process took much less time than I had anticipated. I had my new loan in less than three weeks and I am confident that it is the best for me.
SurePoint beat down my door within 20 minutes of submitting my application on Lending Tree and I agreed to work with them on refinancing my house. I submitted all requested paperwork within 2 days of the request and very promptly paid for the appraisal fee. Then SurePoint disappeared. I asked repeatededly for a status on my the refinancing and for a copy of the appraisal. I never got a single response--not via telephone, email... nothing. I even called the toll free main number to try to get someone else to help me. I was prompted to leave a message and was told I would receive a return phone call within 24 hours. 7 days later, I still have not received a return phone call.
I was extremely nice and friendly with the SurePoint representative, David Menke, through all of this and in the tone of my email and voicemail. I learned many years ago that you should always be nice and treat people with kindness and respect even if you don't feel it is being reciprocated. It fell on deaf ears. I had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge for the appraisal in order to get SurePoint to respond to anything.
I do not recommend this company as it is bait and switch with awful customer service after they get their initial information from you. There is no follow through and no interest in helping you know the status of your loan once the information is submitted. I would have at least appreciated someone telling me anything about the loan and process--even if they said that the appraisal was not enough to refinance. On the converse, if you want your money and personal information to go into a black hole with no hope of any response, this is Surely the company for you.

We dealt with Marilyn at Sure Point Lending. She was AMAZING! She was extremely responsive and helpful during the whole process which only took around 10-15 days AND we got a great rate and reduced our loan term. We will surely use her again!
