I had a very pleasant and focused conversation with Chris Rager from Surepoint. I ended up actually getting my mortgage from another local lender because of lower closing costs, but this company was definitely my #2 choice based on my interactions with Chris.

Horrible Experience

Dionna was the loan officer there that I was dealing wit***.her signature in her emails says she's a man******.she told me from the beginning that I was approved and that we should be able to close within a mon****.at first she was on the ball, calling me on a regular basis giving me updates, letting me know what she needed from me.*.after about 1.5 weeks she started becoming flaky...I would have to leave several messages for her and get a call back a couple of days lat****.after about 3 weeks she said that she was unable to process my loa***.so basically she wasted about 3 weeks of my time after she said the loan was approved...I then contacted Golf Savings Bank and closed my loan about 3 weeks later...

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to respond. We are sorry to hear the borrower was not pleased with his experience. The loan advisor had an initial conversation with the borrower on 11/16, and we did have an initial approval. As with any lender, we have to gather information to process and underwrite the loan. As we found out more information, we identified some credit issues that could potentially cause a problem, and we took the file to an underwriting manager. We were told a final approval did not seem likely, although we could try. On 11/21 we called the borrower to tell him we thought the credit issues could be a problem for qualification, and we didn't want to give false hope. We offered to try to close the loan, but wanted to make it clear that we could not give any guarantee. The borrower told us at that time that he had another lender he would try. Again, we apologize that the customer was not pleased, and we appreciate the feedback. We do however feel we tried to communicate honestly with the borrower by letting him know there were issues with qualification, and there was no guarantee we could close a loan for him.
