Bait and switch tactics

After using the LendingTree app for the first time to see my options for what would be available for personal loans, I received about a dozen offers from several different companies. First Midwest Bank offered the best term personal loan and I immediately received phone calls, emails and texts from them asking me to submit an application. I took a chance and decided to do so, totally assuming that I would be approved for the loan since my credit score is 750 , in my opinion is impeccable and they gave every indication that I would be approved. A day after I submitted the application I found out they declined me due to some kind of debt ratio related reasons (still not clear to me). Now I have a hard inquiry on my credit report for two years. I consider this bait and switch tactics on their end, just to trick more customers into submitting an application. I'll be sure to warn others against doing business with First Midwest Bank, and this didn't leave a good impression on me with LendingTree itself.

Primitive Banking System

When I applied for a loan, its worst than applying for a home loan with all the paperwork and application to fill-up (compared with other banks). And you wont be able to have a paperless statement if you have a loan. ( I really dont know why) I set up my automatic payments and when I paid off my loans earlier, they said they could not cancel my automatic payment. And they still charge me even though I already have a zero balance and told me that I have to wait ten more days for them to send me a check so I can deposit it back to my account? Really? And they said they cant do nothing about it. This will be the last transaction I will do with this bank. NEVER AGAIN!

First Midwest Bank (Personal Loan)

Terrible experience, with a credit rating of 780 i was treated like a criminal. Contact this bank if you want to treated like you did something wrong while asking for a personal loan. Poor, Poor customer service, wouldn't provide information and was extremely rude when asked for reasons behind the treatment.
