did not do as promised
It was advertised that they won't pull my credit until the moment we are ready to sign loan docs, but they pull credit immediately. Terrible experience. They did not do what they promised.
Waste Of Precious Time
This company showed on Credit Karma, that I had an outstanding chance for approval. I went through the process thinking I had a good chance to get approved because my credit score was 758, my income is secure and my credit history is great. They denied me with a whole list of reasons why. And not one of them was accurate! Don’t waste the hit to your credit score with this company. I went to Wells Fargo and was approved within 15 minutes! $15,000 For a unsecured home improvement loan with five years to pay. Take that LightStream!!!
Stunned and disappointed
Applied for a loan for a pool. We had a couple of other loan approvals from competitors but LightStream had a one point lower rate. My credit score is 835, the wife’s is 785. We have solid long term federal jobs with income over $210k per year, own a home, no credit card or revolving debt other than two almost paid off cars. Our loan request was denied and there was no one to talk to…no phone number…only an email which I’m sure no one would actually read. I finally found a number and they said we had to talk to the parent company, Truest who had me on hold for over an hour only to tell me that I needed to call LightStream and ask for a supervisor. Uhhhh….no! I don’t have that kind of time to waste because of second rate service. Save your time and credit score. Go somewhere else for your loan. It makes no sense and we wasted a hard credit check. I will never ever attempt to use Truist or LightStream again. If we don’t qualify for a loan then who does. There is something wrong with their model and algorithms.
