Every single thing I was told would be done was not

If you could use any other lender I would. I would not go through this with them again.
Initially I spoke to Sean who told me he would call me next day to confirm the loan. 2 days later I call and get Ashley who says the loan is ready and we can close Monday at 12:30 (my lunch hour) I leave for lunch early to be ready and after 5 minutes past our time I call and find that it’s not ready and though she said she was busy with another customer it frankly sounded like she completely forgot.
We rescheduled for 5pm because that’s when I’d be off work and at 5:02 I call and she had left already- some guy answered the phone and was very rude and sarcastic with me. I also found on my email at 4:50pm she requested for references and property info so it sounds like even if she stayed it wouldn’t have been ready.
Next day comes and as it turns out she needed assets to secure the loan (never discussed nor requested prior to closing on the loan) thankfully I did have assets to list but what if I hadn’t? After a week of calling THEM to get this done it would have been for nothing. She told me funds would be available next day and I still haven’t gotten them. Every single thing I was told would be done was not.

My daughter's on the Dean's list

Sorry it took me so long to write this review but anyway they really came through for me my daughter's in college needing a vehicle and I was a little short and they came through for me really big got a little bump extra to be able to purchase a vehicle for my daughter she's work really hard and I can't thank them enough so if you get a chance and you're in a tight situation don't hesitate to call them my agent was Deidre and she really helped me out a lot so want to be half of me and my daughter we both thank you
She's over the top excited.

Borrowed $4000.00

The reason I used your company, was because it was impossible to try to get a loan from a reputable bank. I had some credit scores marks. When I signed everything, it was easy. I viewed all the paperwork when I went home. Nothing was explained about all your fees or insurance they put on the loan. When I see the total for the loan, it was $5900.00. I called and ask why the fees where not explained to me, the answer was we put them on the loan, I could cancel them. The one insurance fee was $533.00, and I was told this was to secure your loan. When I said about returning the check, I was told I would have to pay 4700.00. What kind of company or financial institution charges 700.00 to walk in the door. I will never use your company again. Hopefully, I can get all these fees cancelled, and get this loan paid. Your customer service is much to be desired.

Easy to work with, kept me informed

The entire process was easy. The only problem I had was my fault. They could not see my Florida DL it was too dark. I had to get a new DL this month and year so after the new DL everything was fine.

It's like going to the Mafia

I expected a reputable company going through Lending Tree, I am struggling right now and my credit is not good. This is a company I never would have looked at twice had it not been on Lending Tree, who I used to trust. I will do my own research from now on. DO NOT go through this company. You don't need what you want bad enough to pay their sky high rates and outrageous fees, you will pay then forever. I made an almost $400 payment and $26 actually went to my loan. The rest the sharks at Mariner got. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR DO WITHOUT!! They would call me at 6:00 AM, who does that? It's illegal, but I have enough problems than to start filing complaints.

Feel I like got scammed

While the people at the office we easy to work with and nice, I feel like I was scammed and ended up with a loan amount of $9500 and a check for $6000 that I has difficulties cashing and ended up having to wait 10 business days to receive access to the money.
They front loaded the entire 42 month premiums for their scam life and unemployment insurance and included an origination fee.
I am going to end up paying $8,000 in interest for a $6,000 loan which the loan documents state is at 24.99% interest. The math doesn't make sense.
The "insurances" companies do not answer the phone and do not return your phone calls so you cannot cancel them.

I feel Scammed

I signed up for a loan with an agent. I came into the Mariner Loan office nearest to me. I signed for the loan and also purchased auto plus and unemployment insurance. The agent the whole time I was signing was explaining that if I lost my job that I would be covered and my loan would be covered. He explained to me the pricing and told me it was effective right away. A month later I got offer a clinical position with another agency. I was suppose to start the next week. Well with the Corona Virus situation and the state under lock down. My orientation date was pushed back to the end of April. I called Mariner Finance, spoke to the manager of the agent who I signed documents and who sold me the unemployment insurance for the loan. He stated I didn't have unemployment insurance and that I only had life insurance. I never stated that I wanted life insurance, I don't need life insurance, my job that I had at the time was already covering me and my new employement has it. I asked to speak tot the agent myself. The agent stated that I had auto plus but not the unemployment insurance. He stated they couldn't offer me the unemployment insurance. This is unethical, selling me life insurance under the guise of unemployment insurance. I signed all these papers and im paying for a insurance that does not exist. Worse, services that I didn't even know I was getting. Do not let these sales reps con you or trick you.
