Annual Fee

A credit card issuer may charge you a fee each year for your account.

A yearly fee that may be charged by credit card issuers. It may be thought of as a type of membership fee. However, not all credit cards require a fee. Those that do are more likely to offer rewards like travel or other perks.

It’s up to the consumer to determine if the value of the perks is enough to offset the cost of the membership fee. This involves looking at annual spending habits and payment habits, and estimating the likely value of the card versus its costs.
