LendingTree Executive Joins Charlotte Housing Trust Fund

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 27, 2007 – LendingTree, LLC Senior Vice President Drew Jones has been appointed by Charlotte City Council to the Charlotte Housing Trust Fund Advisory Board.

Established by the Charlotte City Council in 2001, the Charlotte Housing Trust Fund was created to provide financing for affordable housing in the Charlotte community. The Advisory Board oversees operations of the Housing Trust Fund and develops policies to further develop and underwrite new housing opportunities for citizens in the area.

Since inception, the Housing Trust Fund has allocated more than $47 million in grants and loans to develop more than 2,556 units for affordable housing. Of that, 1,503 were for people earning less than 30 percent of the area median income, or less than $19,230. These increases make Charlotte more affordable for pre-school teachers, health-care aides, and workers in hospitality, retail and emergency services.
