LendingTree to be Honored by the Charlotte Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International

Charlotte, NC – August, 10, 2004 – LendingTree will receive the Living and Giving Award on November 13, 2004 at the Fourth Annual Hope Gala of the Charlotte Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF). The black tie optional event will take place at the Westin Charlotte Hotel, and is expected to raise more than $310,000 for research to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.

Through the efforts of their employees, LendingTree has helped to raise over $87,000 for diabetes research in support of the Walk to Cure Diabetes, Celebrity Golf Classic and this Hope Gala. “We’re so honored to be able to do this extremely important work,” said David Anderson, Senior VP and GM, LTSS. “Several of our employees and their families are affected by type 1 diabetes and I understand the daily difficulties and stress this puts on a family. Insulin is life support and not a cure.”
