CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 18, 2006 – On Saturday, September 16, more than 50 LendingTree employees, friends and family members gathered in uptown Charlotte to walk “The Rick Walk,” officially known as the American Heart Association Charlotte Metro Heart Walk, in memory of the company’s former chief technology officer, Rick Stiegler.

LendingTree and its employees raised more than $37,000 for the American Heart Association as a tribute to Mr. Stiegler, who passed away from a heart condition in 2004 while training for the Boston Marathon.

“Rick was a phenomenal man and a great character, and he inspired each and every person who crossed his path,” says Tom Reddin, chief executive officer for LendingTree, LLC. “Our efforts with the annual heart walk are just a small reminder of how much we miss him and the dedication he gave to our organization. We’re honored to help support the American Heart Association in his memory.”
