JetBlue Plus Card vs. American Express® Gold Card
Verdict: An excellent luxury travel rewards card for everyday spending
Compared to the JetBlue Plus Card, the American Express® Gold Card puts slightly more emphasis on dining out and groceries than it does on travel spending.
Cardholders can earn 4X Membership Rewards® Points at Restaurants, plus takeout and delivery in the U.S., and earn 4X Membership Rewards® points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 per calendar year in purchases, then 1X), and 3X Membership Rewards® points on flights booked directly with airlines or on amextravel.com. Terms apply. You can also earn 60,000 Membership Rewards® Points after you spend $6,000 on eligible purchases with your new Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership. This card does come with a $250 annual fee. However, you’ll stack up valuable Membership Rewards points on most of your food purchases, which can easily justify the fee each year. The card comes with other great perks, including up to a $120 credit ($10 per month) on select dining purchases (enrollment required).
