If you need to finance a large purchase over time, or you have a large amount of high-interest debt that you need to transfer, a card that offers an interest-free period for a year or longer could be a much better choice for you — a card like the Citi Simplicity® Card, issued by our partner Citi.

The Citi Simplicity® Card offers an intro APR of 0% intro apr for 12 months on purchases; after that, a 19.24% - 29.99% (variable) applies.

In addition, the card has an intro APR of 0% intro APR for 21 months on Balance Transfers, then a 19.24% - 29.99% (variable) applies.

The Citi Simplicity® Card comes with a $0 annual fee, and it won’t assess late fees or a penalty APR if you pay late. That said, because paying your bill late can have a negative impact on your credit score, we recommend always paying your bill on time and in full whenever possible.

You should also know that a there is an intro balance transfer fee of 3% of each transfer (minimum $5) completed within the first 4 months of account opening. Then a balance transfer fee applies with this offer 5% of each balance transfer; $5 minimum. Is the DCU Visa® Platinum Credit Card right for you?
