How LendingTree Rates Credit Cards?
Our experts rate credit cards based on several factors including card benefits, bonus offers and independent research. Credit card issuers do not influence or have a say in our card ratings. Read our credit card methodology here. The JetBlue Business Card can be worth it for business travelers who are loyal to JetBlue. The free checked bag perk alone can pay for the card’s $99 annual fee if you fly more than a few times per year. And the high earning rate on JetBlue spending paired with the 5,000-point anniversary bonus will help you earn award flights faster. The card’s sign-up bonus is particularly attractive.
However, if you don’t travel regularly with JetBlue, you’ll likely get more value from other travel credit cards that earn more flexible points and offer travel protections.
First-year value: $1,119 versus $738 for the average travel credit card
Ongoing value: $393 versus $591 for the average travel credit card

Sign-up bonus
Our rating: 3.9 out of 5 stars
Details:
The JetBlue Business Card‘s sign-up bonus is generous for an airline credit card and relatively easy to earn, although you will only get the full bonus if you make a purchase on an employee card. The full bonus is worth around $720 in award flights, given our current valuation of JetBlue points, making it better than many credit cards.
However, the best sign-up bonuses are worth over $1,000 — some come from cards with annual fees below $100. Many of these cards also offer more flexible redemption options that allow you to redeem your sign-up bonus for all kinds of travel purchases.
Earning miles
Our rating: 3.6 out of 5 stars
Details: Earn 6X points on eligible JetBlue purchases, 2X points at restaurants and office supply stores, and 1X points on all other purchases.
The JetBlue Business Card‘s earning rate is competitive with other airline credit cards. Few airline credit cards earn such a high rate on airline spending, and the JetBlue Business Card boosts your earnings even more with a 10% redemption bonus.
However, the value of JetBlue points is low compared to flexible travel cards like the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. Many of these cards allow you to transfer points to a long list of airline and hotel partners. Plus, some cards like the American Express® Business Gold Card let you earn more on dining and business purchases.

Redeeming miles
Our rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Details:
If you stick to redeeming your miles for a free flight with JetBlue, you’ll have an easy time. Award redemptions with JetBlue are abundant and flexible. Unfortunately, JetBlue isn’t a member of any airline alliances, so you’re limited to redeeming your points with JetBlue and its small flight network, which includes Etihad Airways, Hawaiian Airlines and Qatar Airways.
In contrast, when you earn miles with an airline that belongs to an alliance (e.g., United Airlines), you can usually redeem those miles with over a dozen partner airlines around the world. This can open up far more route options and redemption availability.

Other benefits
Our rating: 2 out of 5 stars
Details:
The JetBlue Business Card benefits are helpful when traveling on JetBlue-operated flights, especially for travelers who check bags and spend money on in-flight food and beverages. The card is also helpful for those aiming to earn Mosaic status, although you’ll have to spend $50,000 per year to get there. Pairing it with the JetBlue Card or JetBlue Plus Card for personal spending may help.
This card offers few benefits outside of its JetBlue perks though. It doesn’t come with any travel protections, nor does it offer typical business card features like integrations and reporting tools.

The Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card is ideal if you’re looking for more flexible credit card rewards. It earns Ultimate Rewards points, which are high in value and can be transferred to a long list of airline and hotel partners at a 1:1 rate, including JetBlue. This card is particularly well suited for business owners who spend a lot on travel, shipping, internet, cable, phone and advertising. You’ll earn 3 points per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in these categories.
It comes with a $95 annual fee and a much more generous sign-up bonus than the JetBlue Business Card. It charges no foreign transaction fees and includes travel protections the JetBlue Business Card lacks. You’ll get auto rental insurance, travel and emergency assistance, trip cancellation/interruption insurance and cellphone protection.
The Business Platinum Card® from American Express is another card that offers more flexibility than the JetBlue Business Card, with points that can be transferred to airline and hotel partners, including JetBlue. It also offers much better travel perks — like airport lounge access — that can help justify the card’s $695 annual fee.
This card offers one of the best welcome offers and a high earning rate on select business purchases. Plus, you’ll get more than $2,000 in statement credits after meeting qualifying spend thresholds, including up to a $200 credit for airline incidentals that can be used on JetBlue (enrollment required).
Business owners who spend in a variety of categories will appreciate that the Capital One Spark Miles for Business earns an unlimited 2 Miles per $1 on every purchase, everywhere; 5 Miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One's travel booking site. Capital One miles are flexible and can be redeemed to cover a travel purchase on your card or transferred to Capital One’s 15+ travel partners, although JetBlue isn’t on the list.
This card offers a decent sign-up bonus and charges an annual fee of $0 intro for first year; $95 after that. It doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees and comes with a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck® credit (see rates & fees). Like the JetBlue Business Card, you won’t get any travel protections with this card.
