Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards for Good Credit vs. Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card
If you want to earn a higher flat cash back rate from a card that accepts excellent/good credit, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card is a great option. The card lets you earn unlimited 2% cash rewards on purchases. Plus, earn a $200 cash rewards bonus after spending $500 in purchases in the first 3 months. That’s a low amount to spend to earn a valuable sign-up bonus.
The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card also lets you carry a balance from month to month without incurring interest charges for more than a year. You’ll get a 0% intro APR for 15 months from account opening on purchases, and a 20.24%, 25.24%, or 29.99% Variable APR thereafter. There’s also an intro APR on balance transfers available for the same length of time.
Just know, this card charges foreign transaction fees. So it’s not an ideal card to take along on a trip overseas.
Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards for Good Credit vs. Discover it® Cash Back
If you don’t mind keeping track of categories that rotate quarterly, you can earn an even higher cash back rate on everyday spending with the Discover it® Cash Back. The $0-annual-fee card gets you 5% cash back at different places each quarter up to the quarterly maximum when you activate. 1% unlimited cash back on all other purchases - automatically.
And there’s a unique sign-up bonus for new card members: Unlimited Cashback Match – only from Discover. Discover will automatically match all the cash back you’ve earned at the end of your first year! There’s no minimum spending or maximum rewards. You could turn $150 cash back into $300.
Similar to the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card, this card offers an intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for more than a year. After that, a very reasonable 17.24% - 28.24% Variable APR applies. There’s also a $0 annual fee, and as for foreign transaction fees — there are none.
Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards for Good Credit vs. Citi Double Cash® Card
The Citi Double Cash® Card accepts applicants with excellent/good/fair credit and offers a generous flat cash back rate and sign-up bonus. You’ll earn 2% on every purchase with unlimited 1% cash back when you buy, plus an additional 1% as you pay for those purchases. To earn cash back, pay at least the minimum due on time.
Plus, for a limited time, earn 5% total cash back on hotel, car rentals and attractions booked on the Citi Travel℠ portal through 12/31/24.
But while this card provides a longer intro APR on balance transfers than the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card and the Discover it® Cash Back, it doesn’t offer an interest-free period on purchases. Also, you’ll be subject to foreign transaction fees if you use the card to make purchases outside of the U.S.
